Cask. Hazy orange ale with a decent cream head. Smells like hot cross buns, a bit of syrup, bread and cinnamon. Orangey zest with cinnamon, lemon, grapefruit and bread. Quite bitter but nice. Festive. jamesie1857 (1986) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 19, 2014
On cask at some Brewers Fayre pub in Hessle next to the Humber Bridge - Deep amber body, thick white head, laces all the way through. Nose is a spicy mix of ground spices, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Some fruit on top of this in the taste, but just too thin and lacking body of real note. Okay though. Cask, Toby, Carlisle. Initially quite a whiff of cinnamon and fruit cake which gets on the tongue quickly, but then settles down quickly. the spicy fruit cake is subtle but just detectable. Smooth and inoffensive, but as somebody who loved Ring wood beer, this is a bit disappointing maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - DEC 27, 2012
Cask conditioned handpump Goose On Two Streets Northampton 20/12/12. A brown beer with a whitish head and lace. Sweet and spicy. Cakey and Christmassy. Works quite well although needs a fuller body. Nice kick of cinnamon and clove. Decent especially in the nose. Dommod2011 (728) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 15, 2012
Today was a day of diminishing beer returns and we didn’t start that highly. This was the best on offer at The Nightingale, just outside Worcester. Spice to begin but this quickly faded. Much like the seasonal joy generated in a barn full of bored kids, a couple of rancid reindeer and a sarcastic Santa.

Golden ale with a thick creamy head and a light texture. Has a fruit aroma and both a malty and fruity flavour. kwik-lime (2116) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 7, 2012
On tap at O’Neills in Kingston. Slightly spicy, well-balanced session beer. Body quite light. Decent beer if not all that exciting.
