The beer had a hazy copper-gold color and poured out with a reasonable head, which dissipated quickly. It had a sweet cotton-candy aroma with some malt notes -- but the main aroma was unquestionably alcohol. The first taste sensation was a sharp acidic note followed by a bitter alcohol flavor, with some sweetness underneath, though dominated by the harsh alcohol flavor. The beer becomes more bitter as it warms, but it’s alcohol bitter, not hops bitter. It fades to a dull, astringent aftertaste that unpleasantly sticks on the tongue. Alcohol. Someone had posted elsewhere on-line that this should be classified as an "imperial malt liquor", which pretty accurately nails it. It’s pretty disgusting. If your aim is simply to get wasted, you’re probably better off drinking mouthwash. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - JUN 16, 2013
Bottle. Ok, not the best beer ive had but not the worst. Mostly grains with a thick boozy feel. Decent bit of heat on the finish. Meh. madvike (3290) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Bottle shared by jmagnus87..."thanks" Josh! - Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Nose is a bit boozy, sweet and malty with lots of graininess. Taste is grainy and bready, with a bit of heat on the finish. Aggressive yeastiness. Slick and thin in the mouth. Surprisingly not horrible. nuplastikk (6414) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 7, 2013
500ml bottle. Vicious, disturbing aroma. Fuesel disgusting aroma. Ridiculously bad. The taste is better than the aroma. If it were 18%, it would be a little more forgivable. Schnaps-ish, malty though, sweet. Probably not meant for human consumption. jandd1983 (4544) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - MAY 23, 2013
Sampled at TWCP Beer Fest 2013. It poured a hazy orange color with a small white head. The aroma was malty with lemon and some alcohol. The taste was of caramel, honey, lemon, ginger with a boozy finish. Just ok.

Bottle. Pours orange gold with white head. Nose and taste of corn, sweet malt, alcohol soaked fruits and caramel. Lighter than medium bodied. Finishes with sweet alcohol soaked fruit. Aurelius (5489) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAR 28, 2013
Edgy, tinny malt aroma, with an oaky sweetness. Clear, bright orange-gold beer with a moderate almost white head. An old joke label, but true enough -- the girls all get prettier at closing time. Raw, tinny, green, astringent, overly sweet. Green cereal, green pecan astringency in the finish... long bitter aftertaste. Warming, boozy. Crude, suitable for minor cuts and abrasions. This was to beer as cheap port is to red wine. Market Square Liquors, Mahan. wlajwl (7008) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - MAR 17, 2013
Aroma is malts and perfumed sweetness, almost like cotton candy/taffy/candy sugar. The flavor is overwhelming/very cloying sweetness and a really warming alcoholic finish. DrinkEmUpJones (1069) - Georgia, USA - FEB 1, 2013
Clear orange/yellow. Thin white lacing. Smells like pine trees and cheap candy. Tastes like cheap candy. Tastes like they poured cheap candy into the mash for the yeast to eat...weird cheap vanilla candy. Like, an experiment with somebody’s kid’s leftover halloween candy. NOT good. fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 25, 2013
Bottle from Community Food Co-op - N Forest St, Bellingham, WA
Darker shade of blond, clear, with medium sized compact head. The aroma is light, there is some fusel and plastic. Strong body, with round mouthfeel, but also a bit oily; there is a light fruity touch but also some chemicals; it’s fairly sweet, and the alcohol gives a quite boozy feeling.
Big Heller Bock. Weird, excessive, but not as terrible as expected; no need to try this again.
