Euro Super High Alcohol Lager. Orange-gold. Smell is of rich full caramel malt and well straw. Smooth and well ballanced, with just enough malt and hops to add a fruity taste. Alcohol flavor is not prevalent despite 14% ABV, almost is not noticable until you’re through. Really good with BQ pork or pulled pork.

Received as a gift that I interpreted at the time as not a gag gift, but perhaps I should revisit that thought. This stuff is nasty. Aroma is lagery sort of. Taste is super sweet with a very, very mild hops flavor and bitterness to "balance". Not sure what the point is for this stuff existing aside from being very high ABV, which is not apparent at all thanks to the nasty taste. I wish drinking this on no one.

Pours amber with a finger of white froth that diminishes to film within a few minutes. Nose is caramel and booze. Taste is powerfully sweet up front with a bitter aftertaste. Notes of rubbing alcohol in the aftertaste. Full body with very mild carbonation. Not a pleasant beer. I can’t imagine drinking this for any reason other than a quick buzz.

Bottle pour. Hazy copper with little head. Aroma is sweet caramel. Oily body. Very sweet taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours hazy golden-amber with a 1/2 finger off-white head. Toffee aroma with a bit of a boozy note. Some yeast too. Body is medium-to-full and a bit syrupy. Boozy astringency to the finish. Toffee flavor mixed with a boozy note. A touch of yeast. None of the flavor notes are particularly well-integrated.

Amber color with a quickly diminished head. Sweet aroma, with some caramel and mild malt. Sweet flavors with malt, light fruit, and alcohol. Not as bad I expected, still not that good. Candi and mild fruit in the finish. I actually can see a slight Belgian quad bock. A sipping strong lager. I’ve certainly had worse. 7/14

Smells sweet. Looks clear and orange. Flavor is of sweet jet fuel. Absurdly boozy, although the finish is fairly clean for something this combative to your tastebuds. Not getting any "well straw" whatever that is. Eastern Europe seems to think that "bock" means "lots of alcohol" as that is all I’ve gotten from most of their "bock" beers.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2016 Bottle from Tres Bonne Cuisine. DeScription says "Alcohol is not prevalent..."..Ha! Straight up in your face boozy burn. Buckle your seat belts, its going to be a bumpy ride. Orange golden body with small creamy head. Musty malty aroma, somewhat funky. Doubting the doppelbock classification here. Malt liquor, strong lager, etc... Taste is also pure sweet malt, corn, cooked vegetables. Slick, slippery body, no finish, just heat.

Has a sweet malt aroma. Looks okay. The first mouthfeel is decent until you swallow. A very difficult beer to drink. Doesn't really scream 14% but that's because it's too sweet. Bad stuff. I had to go back and raise the score of the spear because as bad as it tastes, unlike other sweet doppelbocks or Oktoberfest, this at least get you drunk.

1pt, 0.9oz bottle. Nose overly malty with a touch of grainy pils coming through, somewhat meaty, with higher-order alcohols and grape juice. Pours clear copper-tinged orange with a short and short-lived head. Taste cloyingly sugary with heavy alcohols, a melanoidin bomb with light roast and toast, white grape juice, slick peach and huge caramel malt, honey, faint burn. Light herbal hops, overall a touch musty (straw, husk), light bitterness, huge alcohol in the fat full body, though remarkable restraint with the booze. Honestly, this resembles a real beer with good, if hugely unbalanced beery flavors, and presents a nice front if you know what to expect going in. Mix of slurry malt liquor with a Polish/Lithuanian strong pils, best one from them I’ve had in years. [2015.12.25: 2.9]

Bottle; too dark to have notes on the color. Aroma of cookie dough, caramel molasses, ripe fruit and sweet malt. Malty flavor; caramel, dark fruit, cookie dough. Flavor is a bit sloppy, but I do like the components. Could see how some would not like this, but I do. A bit sickly sweet, but I like sweet. Better than expected.
