3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Decent strong lager, fairly sweet and caramel-focused yet well balanced and fairly smooth. Pours light clear amber with a dense head. Aromas of light malt, dark sugar and stone fruit are mostly covered by a toffee/caramel aroma - a bit much for me but not unpleasant. Fairly sweet with a mild supporting bitterness. Medium to heavy mouthfeel with a slightly harsh alcohol bite. I have no idea why they call this a porter, but it’s a quite passable imperial pils.
Poor color, poor aroma, poor taste, poor palate. Shitty beer, top to bottom. Did I say that it is shitty? maekchu (3917) - Hirakata, JAPAN - MAR 11, 2013
Bottle from Five Points Bottle Shop (Atlanta Highway) in Athens. Says it is a porter on the label. Lousy malt aroma, lots of brown sugary notes. Hazy copper color. Cheap sugary malt (yuck), like extract of some sort / mid palate is no different, but the alcohol comes through loud and clear / very sickly sugary aftertaste. Thin body. Ain’t like any :porter" I’ve ever had. Truly a bad beer. I’ve read about intersting things being made in Lithuania... but this certainly isn’t one of them. rodneyritchey (1) - Winter Park, Florida, USA - NOV 11, 2012 does not count
Poured well. Not a tall head, no ribboning, but a clean wispy little bit stuck here and there. Clear orange color. Nice carmel aroma. Thin and sweet (tasted sweet malts) and very smooth. The sweet malts seemed to hide the 8.2% abv very well. This would be a great beach or barbecue beer. Headbanger (3999) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JUN 15, 2012
16.9oz bottle 6/15/12 (Binny’s Downers Grove)-41° in Lager Glass-Pours am orangish copper with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, toffee, brown sugar, dried fruit, and slight alcohol. Taste of the same with a bit more caramel and brown sugar. This medium bodied brew is not bad. Was expecting though a high abv porter. dwyerpg (6188) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - MAY 17, 2012
Well, this is not the color of a porter, but the orange-red cloudiness that it has is still good-looking. I am quite surprised with how much I enjoy the flavor of this one, though there is some definite strength coming through as well. Still, esily the best from these guys. A relatively smooth finish. Actually, I really kinda like this one.

500 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy reddish orange color with a small 1 finger fairly dense off white head with decent retention that reduces to a ring of lacing. Minimal lacing on the glass. Aromas of caramel, toasted malt, biscuit, chocolate, apricot, plum, light fruits, herbal hops, and a touch of alcohol. Interesting aromas with good strength. Taste of apricot, plum, biscuit, toasted malt, caramel, molasses, light chocolate, and herbal hops. Very dry on the finish; with slight lingering notes of light fruit, toasted malt, caramel, and herbal hops for an instant. Good amount of flavor, but quite a bit uninteresting. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and slick mouthfeel. Alcohol is very well hidden with no warming noticed at all. Overall this is an ok beer. Not really offensive at all, just really uninteresting and slightly bland. Definitely does not fit the porter style advertised on the label. Evolutionary (503) - Ohio, USA - MAR 31, 2012
Bottle from Oxford store. Bad beer. Never get gain despite cool bottle. Very acidic and little body. Minimal head.

500ml bottle. Glowing orange-copper color. Steady, creamy beige head. The aroma is not outright bad, but I fear what lies beneath. Hmm..not unreasonable. Sort of like an Baltic Amber, if you can dig it. Thick sugary tones, some odd malt liquor like fruitiness. Finishes a lot smoother than most of it’s Eastern European Strong Ale contemporaries. Toffee nutmeg chocolate tones, quite syrupy and extracty feeling. Sort of like a budget factory Doppelbock at times. Surprisingly not horrendous. cheap (5863) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 23, 2012
not a porter in the conventional sense. just about the same as lobster lover 9.5 but possibly just a hair darker, if it is at all. cloying sweet rude finish.
