Gekocht in vilnius. Goudgeel met een witte kraag geur en smaak zijn zoet moutig en niet echt uitgesproken zoals de meeste bieren hier. lobs_ols (452) - LATVIA - MAR 17, 2015
Hazy light gold, medium white head. Noble hop aroma - Saaz? Light bitterness, malty sweetness, light body. Finishes lightly bitter, bit watery and overall refreshing. Decent enough lager. Vells (1857) - Rīga, LATVIA - MAY 12, 2013

The head is medium, the body blond and a bit cloudy. It smells mild, light fruity, grapefruit-kiwi. The taste is malty, tannins, less hoppy. Ok 10/10/10/9/-/10 Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 8, 2012
In short: An exemplary inoffensive thirst blonde lager

How: Tap directly at the brewery restaurant
The look: Partly cloudy blonde body top by a medium white head with medium retention
In long: The soft nose has nice cereals with a fresh hay character. Taste is fresh cereals, hay, timid noble-style hops presence, a nice fruity tartness to make it more refreshing. Pretty much as good as I can hope for an ‘inoffensive’ thirst lager to be. It is sad to drink Rinkuškiai’s bottles (filtered and pasteurized) and compare to the real thing at the brewery. I tasted a few of their filtred-pasterized bottles but gave up on most of them after only a sip or two, just too bland. The visit to the brewery is worth it if only for the comparative taste test. Too bad this unfiltered unpasteurized version of Proginis is not bottled, you have to go on location to drink it. The brave Lithuanian sacrificed a lot to become the first Soviet republic to declare its independence, and the Medininkai massacre was a small price to pay so that many years later I would be allowed to enter this country and give Rinkuškiai Nefiltruotas Proginis a good rating.
Tap (Rinkuskiai Brewery Tap) - unfiltered, unpasteurised (6:4:6:4:12=3.2)TaktikMTL (7815) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 16, 2012
A completely different beast live, compared to the dead filtered pasteurised bottle! Hazy orange, healthy rocky head. Honey grainy aroma. Milky grainy bready taste. Nice honey and grain finish. Good flavoursome thirstquencher.
My Bottom Line:
Straw and honey meet discreet herbal hops in this well-rounded unfiltered lager.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy head of foam tops the hazy gold.
-Flavors delivered are very similar to those found in most of their beers.
-If this were of Czech origin, it would probably get more respect.
-Malt flavors are well developed, like in most of their beers.
-The lack of filtration and pasteurization in this one doesn’t affect the end product that much. The ’regular’ Proginis is as good (well, when tasted at the brewery).
On tap at the brewery restaurant.
