500 ml bottle. 7.5%. BB 13/01/15. (Elisiejus) Saločiai, Lithuania.FatPhil (16921) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 3, 2012
Bright golden colour with a small white head.
Mild malty aroma with mild sweetness. Surprisingly mild for such a strong brew. The flavour is grassy bitterness, sweetness and malt. Alcohol is lurking everywhere.

Sticky heavy nose, more malt liquor than ESL, doesn’t have the sophistication of a proper ESL. Rough in the mouth, metallic hoppy bite. Sticky sweet palate. Not actually boozy, but clearly potent. Few redeeming features; it’s best feature is that it’s not so offensive you feel the need to drainpour it. Hops and alcohol numb you to its flaws, so once you’re half way down, you will finish it.
poured golden with no headflavor sweet malts and alcohol nothing else going on Butters (4063) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - DEC 30, 2008
Translucent golden orange with good white head that fades quickly to nothing. Sweet and spicy with light citrus and banana. Flavor is similar to all the other euro stong lagers ive had, but this one is more balanced and hides the alcohol nicely. Syrupy body. For a good bit of alcohol, at a reasonable price, there are worse ways you could go, I actually enjoyed sipping on this one. DerBiermeister (586) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - JUN 15, 2008
This is a thoroughly mediocre beer. The aroma, the appearance, the flavour, the palate, and the overall impression thoroughly indicate a mediocre beer. The best bit is the amount and the 8% ABV.

First of all, though the back label claims this is a "stout beer", it is absolutely not a stout. I imagine this is a problem with translation: possibly they were looking for the English word for "Strong Beer", and someone (unacquainted with the actual product, and naturally thinking of Baltic porter, or Imperial Stout) could have suggested "stout". A quick look at an English dictionary would show that "stout" could mean "heavy-bodied", or "strong and full of character". Not realizing that these definitions applied to people and not to styles of beer, the Lithuanian Marketing Dept. went ahead with their label designs... at least that’s my guess.
As for the beer? Unremarkable lager aroma. Pours clear golden yellow, not too pale, with a credible if short-lived attempt at a head. An initial malty fruitiness soon gives way to a yeasty sugar-syrup flavor. The hops fight valiantly to dry things out a little, but to no avail: the end notes are almost cloyingly sweet. It does hide its 8% alcohol reasonably well: I was thinking the ABV might be a little exaggerated, and then I discovered my nose was gone. SSSteve (4006) - - MAR 23, 2008
pours a hazy gold with a small white head. sparse lacing. aroma of alcohol and pale malts. flavor is metallic with notes of pineapple and butterscotch. touches of alcohol. medium bodied. not a real good one. MrEcted1 (144) - Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA - MAR 6, 2008
I bought this one on a whim because it was on sale and I’ve never had a Lithuanian beer before. Actually a bit better then I thought it would be, but nothing great.
The aroma is pretty good, it smells like a good English ale. Taste is a bit similar but it’s not very clean. Quite malty and pretty thick on the palate for a lager. Pours a slightly cloudy copper color with a white head that goes away quickly.
Overall it was worth the $1.99 USD. gunhaver (1030) - Tampa, Florida, USA - FEB 19, 2008
UPDATED: JUN 5, 2008 Bottle. Pours a cloudy copper, with a thin watery head and some decent lacing. Aroma of ginger, malty corn, soft chocolate. Flavor is a bit spicy. Ginger, cinnamon, pointless hoppiness, fresh malts, some cider...Very watery and thin-bodied. Slightly bitter finish. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - FEB 12, 2008
Pours copper with a white head. Smells of sugar and corn. Tastes like corn syrup with some carbonation added.
