Sampled at Mile with Dad and Linh, pours thick black with small head that didnt last. Aras and flavor are bitter coffee, chocolate, mollases, roast, and hops. Pretty drinkable for the style without much sweetness.

Draft at Irish Mile with Linh and Vinny. Pours a pitch black with no head. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with notes of rich roast, sweet/bitter chocolate and earth. Not terrible stuff.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle received in trade with jcwattsruggter. Hey thanks John! Dark brown to near black pour with modest tan head. The aroma has a definite coffee note with those smoky and dark malts. But the coffee is front and center. The body is lighter than I expected. A definite spent coffee grinds flavor with a mild to mediocre bitterness that seeps in on the backside when you least expect it to. A decent enough stout. Thanks John (again).

On tap at brewery. Opaque black color. Small creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and dark roasted coffee. Flavor is more of the same. Roasted malt and dark coffee. Dry and bitter. Thin bodied, with some nuttiness. Slightly tang burnt caramel notes in mid taste. Finish is dry with a faint licorice prescence, but coffee flavor dominates. Lacking in body, but good.

Draft. Dark cola with a quickly dissipating 1 finger tan head. Aroma is sweet with oat and a hint of coffee. Taste is nondescript at lower temperatures but really opens up as it warms. Oat, coffee, roasted malt, chocolate and a lingering vanilla note on the finish. Mouthfeel is really soft and smooth. Pretty impressed with this. I could drink about 1000 of these.

As much as I didn’t like their brown, I really liked this one. Pours almost black with a tan head. The aroma has chocolate, roast malt and a lot of coffee. The flavor has all that and is very well balanced. Not at all sweet, quite dry and tasty.
