My bottle produced by Ceveceria Centro American, S.A., Guatemala. Grassy aroma; not too bad. Pale gold with a subtstantial white head. Starts with a carbonation bite, followed by corny malt. A bit sweet. There is some bitter at the finish, but not quite enough to balance the sweetness. Slight herby aftertaste. Not really all that clean a finish. Better than Bud. Medium yellow with the standar American head. Fruity aroma. Crisp and stark with little falvor to speak of. Previous "like Schlitz" review was spot-on. Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - JUN 4, 2009
Bottle: Sweet pale lager aroma with the slightest hint of grass. It pours a transparent gold (not yellow) with a half-inch white head that diminishes to to a thin film after a minute or. It’s actually a decent head for a pale lager and leaves some decent lacing. The flavor has some sweet apple (slightly sugary sweet apple juice flavors) with a hint of pale lager sweetness as well. The finish has the slightest hint of grassiness. I’d say it’s sweeter than most other pale lagers. Light bodied and a little thin with mild carbonation. Certainly not good, but it’s not offensive and you can definitely do worse. However, if I was in a bind and it was the only thing available, I don’t think I could drink a lot of these as the apple sweetness would probably get to me after more than one bottle. Appearance inflates the score in relation to BMC beers, but if I had to choose multiple bottles of a BMC beer or this, I’d choose a BMC beer. This beer has the sparkling lager look, with a well carbonated-solid gold color. Sweet-skunk pilsner smell feintly wafts up the glass. Despite the carbonated appearance, this beer felt relatively flat and flavorless--a bit of pilsner sweetness carries what little flavor exists--just not much taste character in this beer. A smooth lager, but highly forgettable. mjg74 (3106) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 27, 2004
Skunk-O-Rama. Smell watery and skunky. Tastes grainy and skunky with a little hint of metal. Lousy brew.

Very pale and clear with fat sticky foam. Lightly hopped with an easy body. Relative to other Latin American beers, it’s well-balanced and bright. Very nice. Reid (2539) - Salem, Oregon, USA - DEC 19, 2006
Nice packageing plain and simple Blue, white and gold label. 12 oz bottle.
Usual cheap lager yellow colour with next to zero head, some insipid lace.
Aroma is very grassy and some skunk, I dunno though its not as bad as many I have had.
Taste is bitter , with weak malts and some sweetness at the end.
Actually not that bad on the palate, it does for some reason appear to have some heft and seems less watery than many in this category.
Overall not a good beer at all, but compared to other Latin American cheap lagers its not bad. I could drink this at a party if I had to. fordest (2470) - Santee/San Diego, California, USA - SEP 26, 2007
Not as bad as I had expected for another Latin American beer. Going for that Corona customer, and it was cheap. For me, it got me that Guatemalan rating. Not horrible for a pale lager that needs a bit of lime. GG (2332) - NorCal, California, USA - JUN 16, 2009
Not sure what the difference is between this and Nautica Especial. It even had a similar packaging color. But the beer is pretty much identical, except for a few % points of alcohol. Body is straw yellow, 2" fluffy head and crystal clear. Aroma is slightly grassy and some skunk character. Flavor has some undefined sweetness to it and not much else. Body is watery and light. Didn’t expect much from the beer, and didn’t get much from it. BeerLimey (2154) - California, USA - FEB 10, 2002
Lightly hopped, but pretty much flavorless brew. Not a bad budget choice and I’d probably pick it up before drinking Moosehead or Corona.
