Draught at the tasting room in San Marcos, California. Nice clear amber beer with a decent beige head. Roasted caramel and chocolate aroma, fruity, grapes, raisins, some licorice. Roasted malty flavor, caramel, raisins,Charles, some hops. Decent beer.
MartinT (10155) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 12, 2015
My Bottom Line:
hopdog (13249) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 3, 2015
Toasted malts leap from this Brown Ale’s lean profile, leaving room for a few hops and mild fruitiness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the misty brown.
-Carbonation is quite bubbly, which doesn’t fit the toastiness that much, imho.
-The mouthfeel is on the dry side for the style.
-Drinkability is quite high.
On tap at their North Park bar.
On tap at the Rip Current (North Park) Brew Pub. Poured a brown color with a small sized head. Toasted nuts and caramel. Yep a brown ale. peteinSD (1468) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 1, 2013

Light brown pour with an off-white head. Mild roasted malt aroma with plenty of toasted bread, toffee, and nuts. A moderate sweetness, some earthy hops, and caramel. Mild hop bitterness to the flavor, tons of toasted nuts, toffee, and toasted bread. Light earthiness, chocolate, roasted malt, and some moderate sweetness. skmikeg (1826) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 21, 2013
Pours light for a Brown Ale (a light reddish brown with a small off white head). Aroma is of toasted malts, caramel, some hazelnut, and general nuttyness. Taste is nutty and malty with little hops and includes some hazelnut , caramel, and some molasses notes. Has a medium body with a slightly dry, with a slightly creamy but also slightly fizzy mouthfeel and a slightly dry, mostly sweet finish. overall, a pretty tasty English style brown ale that is lighter and more sessionable then your average American brown ale.
