5% Northern English Brown "nut brown" style beer which features a rich, dark bready, biscuity base with noticeable toffee, nut-like and a hints of coffee and chocolate flavors. We use our water system to give this beer a soft malty character on the finish so its easy to enjoy multiple pints.

@ the brewpub, San Marcos 18-2-21: Helt ok men ingen höjdare - små toner av malt och lite nötter

On tap at Rip Current San Marcos. Brownish with a small head. Mild with coffee, some dark malt and light nuts. The finish was on the dry side.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark amber with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is cocoa and roast. Medium body, bread, raisin, light dry finish, decent.

Draft. Pours deep brown with a beige head. Toasted bready malts, mild sweetness, low bitterness, and some faint earthy notes. Clean and very drinkable. Good stuff.

(En fût au tasting room North Park): Un vent rôti envahi mes narines, le brown a été utilisé avec amour. Le liquide est assez mince et engouffrable, très chocolaté, pain grillé avec une touche minérale. Très solide.

My Bottom Line:
Toasted malts leap from this Brown Ale’s lean profile, leaving room for a few hops and mild fruitiness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the misty brown.
-Carbonation is quite bubbly, which doesn’t fit the toastiness that much, imho.
-The mouthfeel is on the dry side for the style.
-Drinkability is quite high.

On tap at their North Park bar.

On tap at the Rip Current (North Park) Brew Pub. Poured a brown color with a small sized head. Toasted nuts and caramel. Yep a brown ale.

Tap @ brewery. Light brown pour with an off-white head. Aroma is toasted malt, nutty caramel, and light roast with minimal sweetness. Taste is toasted malt with light biscuit and roast. Light mouthfeel. Nice brown.
