Valnød lød spændende. Men jeg blev lidt skuffet da jeg ikke kunne fornemme noget specielt ved denne ellers spændende titel. Smag og duft var ganske harmløs. Lidt skuffende.

Decent and better than the ratings imply. Balanced, soft, slight caramel and hints of walnut.

(bottle) amber colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of walnuts and warm sauna stones, with a light touch of apricot jam, peppermint and rotten cherries. flavour is mostly black bread crusts and floral hops, with a light touch of evergreen cones, some light bubble gum, raisins, müsli and a slightly cobwebby finish. medium-bodied with lively carbonation.

Clear amber color with off-white head. Aroma is sweet and somehow buttery. Taste follows, quite sweet with some weird fruit esters and butter. I don’t think it was supposed to turn out like this.

Clear light brown with little white head. Aroma is caramel, chocolate, walnut, some berries, phenols. Taste is sugary sweet with lots of berry sourness, dextrose. Full body, medium finish. Not bad.

Appearance: Clear golden color with a fine off white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Light acidic, fruity and malty.
Palate: Medium + body. Slightly sweet and a moderate bitterness. Average carbonation. Oily texture.
Taste: Ciderish fruity, malty and a bit “nutty”.
Overall impression: Maybe an infection going on? Unusual acidic. Still a nice beer.
Personal stats: Bottle from a trade with yngwie/Geokkjer/Meilby

En ganske fin øl med smag af karamel og en pift valnød. Kan sagtens drikke flere af dem i træk, fx som en mellemøl. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0.5 bottle. Color is hanging somewhere between light brown and dark coppery, head is medium and off-white, diminishes quickly. Aroma is indeed resemblant of walnuts with some hops, wood and delicate sweetness. Taste is very sweet, definite caramel, again some walnuts, some maple syrup and sap. Medium body, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Finish is short, mostly sweet, reintroduces the exact same flavors as the taste. All in all it is a nice beer, surely very interesting though not excelling at any part and definitely overly sweet for my taste.
