4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
From the bomber, it pours a beautiful golden copper and yields the same color body. A great two inch foamy white head appears and lasts for at least a good two minutes. There is some spider web lacing speckling the sides of the glass. The smell has a good complexity of hops and malts, some sweet, some bitter, and some spicy. The taste has a peppery yet piney sort of flavor that to me that I really like. The palate is superb as it is not watery nor is it sharp, a perfect feel on the tongue. Overall, I was not expecting this IPA to be this good, but this is really awesome.
Chewy cheesy hop and crystal malt. How old school. Meh. I mean it's ok for what it is but hops do come across cheesy. fiulijn (21507) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 14, 2017
Can at Black Christmas 2017mcberko (19813) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 10, 2017
Hazy golden color. Grainy IPA, with resiny and citrusy hops, not too bad.
12 oz. can, pours a hazy golden blonde with a medium off-white head. Aroma is light, with floral hops, herbal notes and a is light vegetal character. Flavour is loaded with boiled vegetables, followed by herbal, soapy hops, and biscuity malt. Too vegetal - off. Not good. Ferris (17078) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 9, 2017

In high school I was in a band called Zephyr, and much like that band, this beer is okay but not something I necessarily want to revisit. Sammy (12996) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 10, 2017

On tap @ Rising Tide. Pours a bit on the hazy side. Orange in color with a nice white head. Comes off much sweeter than I typically like, which I guess is sort of the typical knock on the "East Coast IPA". Candied orange and grapefruit peels, some pine, and dried flowers. It has a definite sugar component to it, beyond just the usual bready malts. Certainly some caramel, too. Wasn’t one of my favorites in their arsenal. jgb9348 (6581) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - NOV 1, 2016
Rich copper coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, earth, grain and a bit of nice bright hops. Medium-bodied; Earthy flavour with a lot of pungent piney and resinous hops showing through nicely. Aftertaste has a good deal of bitterness, some smooth grain and malt flavours, a bit of resin and bready yeast noticeable still, with some caramel and earth, but the hops are driving and taste of pungent notes. Overall, a very nice and well-balanced IPA with some good flavours, smooth bitterness and subtle complexities. I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from Hannaford Grocery in Portland, Maine on 30-July-2016 for US9,99 for a six pack, sampled at home in Washington on 29-October-2016 before running the USMC Marathon 2016.
