COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Heady like the sweet breath of Zephyrus, our India pale ale is redolent of citrus, apples, and pears, balanced by a touch of caramel. We use malted barley grown by local farmers and add a special blend of Cascade, Centennial, and Calypso hops to create this juicy, hoppy ale.

From the bomber, it pours a beautiful golden copper and yields the same color body. A great two inch foamy white head appears and lasts for at least a good two minutes. There is some spider web lacing speckling the sides of the glass. The smell has a good complexity of hops and malts, some sweet, some bitter, and some spicy. The taste has a peppery yet piney sort of flavor that to me that I really like. The palate is superb as it is not watery nor is it sharp, a perfect feel on the tongue. Overall, I was not expecting this IPA to be this good, but this is really awesome.

Gravity Cask Third of a Pint at GBBF 2015, Olympia, London Aug 2015 - Amber Gold in colour. Slight head. No lacing. Very Hoppy; assertive piney resinouus hops. Fruity; grapefruit citrus. Malty; caramel, toasty malts. Very bitter hoppy fruity throughout. Too bitter for me though. (2015-08-13)

On tap @ Rising Tide. Pours a bit on the hazy side. Orange in color with a nice white head. Comes off much sweeter than I typically like, which I guess is sort of the typical knock on the "East Coast IPA". Candied orange and grapefruit peels, some pine, and dried flowers. It has a definite sugar component to it, beyond just the usual bready malts. Certainly some caramel, too. Wasn’t one of my favorites in their arsenal.

Rich copper coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, earth, grain and a bit of nice bright hops. Medium-bodied; Earthy flavour with a lot of pungent piney and resinous hops showing through nicely. Aftertaste has a good deal of bitterness, some smooth grain and malt flavours, a bit of resin and bready yeast noticeable still, with some caramel and earth, but the hops are driving and taste of pungent notes. Overall, a very nice and well-balanced IPA with some good flavours, smooth bitterness and subtle complexities. I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from Hannaford Grocery in Portland, Maine on 30-July-2016 for US9,99 for a six pack, sampled at home in Washington on 29-October-2016 before running the USMC Marathon 2016. Batch 522, Born: 30-May-2016.

Draft at brewery. Pours orange with a white head. Leaves trace lacing in the glass. Not a lot on the nose. A bit of pine cone on the tongue along with some citrus notes. Finished clean. Solid but not spectacular example of style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Grassy citrus tropical hop aroma and flavor with a nice malt backing. Balanced and a nice flavorful refreshing IPA. Almost a nice papaya hop flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the Great Lost Bear. Clear golden pour with a white head. Pine and muted tropical fruits battle for you attention. The sturdy malt backbone lends plenty of caramel flavors. Good body and mouthfeel.

At the source: pours light copper with a white head. Aroma is light grapefruit and slightly herby. Taste is lightly bitter. Plenty of citrus. Very understated. Not bad.

Sampled at the brewery, pours a hazy dark gold with some lacing, white head. Nose has white grape, some grapefruit, some out of place brown sugar. Flavor has more of that weird sugar, sort of turbinado sugar, orange peel, honey, pine, soap. Sticky finish.
