(Bottle, 0.33 l, at HBF2016) The beer poured clear and golden. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, sweetness and honey. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A decent brew.

Tap @ In de Wildeman, medium sample. Clear yellow to golden color, medium frothy head. Aroma of spicy and grassy hop, some grainy malt. Medium to high bitterness, grassy, spicy, herbal. Wonderful pilsener with big and bold crispy bitterness. Lovely.

Tap at In de Wildeman. Clear golden with big fluffy white head. Dry malts, some soap, lots of grassy notes, some hay and straw, a hint of lime. Light sweet and medium bitter. Light bodied with crisp feel and soft mouth coating carbonation.

Goldig, klar. Geruch nach Kräuterhopfen. Im Geschmack leicht malzig und gute Hopfennoten. Bitter im Abgang, nachhängend. Sehr gut.

Very similar to the Bitter 58, just more buttery and hoppy. Classic Franconian Lager. Nice!

Ippopodio (135) - ITALY - FEB 24, 2016
Color oro limpido con una persistente schiuma candida. Al naso sorprende per la complessità: malto, erbaceo, miele e fiori di zagara. In bocca è fresca, pulita, leggera e beverina.

On tap @So Good (Rome). Pours golden with a medium white head. Aroma is very hoppy, grass, grapefruit, yeasts, malt. Flavour is more balanced with a good bitter end. Medium to light body, medium to high carbonation. Quite good.

Bottle at home. Aroma is pale malt, hay, grassy hops, notes of citrus, light floral, a little perfumed. Flavour is light sweet and surprisingly bitter. Body is light to medium. Very tasty floral grassy fruity Pilsener!

*Nettes, nicht zu tiefes Pils. Herb-mild, nicht zu viel Getreide, etwas Malz, schön trocken, Nett aber nicht zu spannend...

Pours a crystal clear, bright golden color, with medium sized, spongy white head. Has a pleasant leafy quality atop of hay and biscuity malts. Has a bubbly, slightly metallic carbonation, blending directly into a hoppy dryness during the finish, producing an extremely refreshing appearance. Tastes of toffee and even caramel among the spritzy, metallic carbonation, exhibiting a hazelnut flavor, which builds a nice transition for herbal hops to enter the palate. This reveals a touch of earth, followed by a short but harsh, bitter dryness, leading to a clean, soft finish. Your typical pilsener, slightly unbalanced and harsh, beginning overly sweet, while ending utmost dry. The different flavors kind of ignore each other, not blending together, but doing their thing on its own, reflecting to the beers slightly half-baked appearance.
