Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting.
Body is light to medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately to heavily hoppy (lemon oil, lemon cleaner, flowers, resin).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter.
Medium body, velvety/watery texture, lively carbonation.
Rather one-dimensional nose, huge dose of lemon oily hops, which even have some west coast US floor cleaner character. Gets a bit tiring quickly, but fairly clean and enjoyable. More bitter than the 42 IBU might make you think, and blinded I would honestly think this was made in the States. India Pale Lager, anyone? One of the more unusual breweries in Franconia...this and Smokey George seem to be aimed more at American beer geeks than Germans.
Quahwa. Clear golden body, white head. Flowery, perfumey hops and malty background. Flowery, perfumy hoppiness on mild grainy maltiness. Dry finish, light bitterness. Nice little lager, classic. beerstar88 (587) - Bavaria, GERMANY - MAY 11, 2017
Goldgelb im Glas mit kurzlebiger Blume. Grasig frischer Antrunk, erfrischend kräutriger Körper mit leicht fruchtiger Säure, die Hopfenbittere im Abgang ist sehr harmonisch und nicht zu stark. CloakedDagger (2440) - - MAR 21, 2017
Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear - slightly pale - yellow with a small, white head. Nose is slightly sulphurous with flowery hops. Medium body, dry, grainy and grassy with a solid late kick of bitterness. Basically a hoppy Pils. 210317 ischas (694) - - FEB 21, 2017
UPDATED: FEB 21, 2017 0,33 l Flasche. Aroma: hopfig, fruchtig, grasig. Goldgelbes, leicht trübes Bier, flacher, weißer Schaum, Gardine in Ordnung. Geschmack: malzig süß, angenehm bitter, leicht fruchtig. Nachgeschmack: Bitterkeit bleibt lange, immer im angenehmen Bereich. Gesamt: sehr gutes Pils, für ein bayerisches äußerst herb. Golden with little white head. Aroma is corn, grass, flour, bonbon, juicy malt, maybe canned peach. Taste is rich juicy malt bittersweetness with lots of bitter herbs and fresh sourness on the tongue. Finish has more of the corn and some dust. Not boring but not my kind of beer. (Although I like Pils normally).

Aroma; pale malts, dough, grain, grass. Look; pearl head, clear pale golden body. Taste; hops, apple peel, bread, grass, fruit, malts - malted finish, but some hops around. Feel; normal. Overall; went well with my pea and flesh soup and kabanoss sausage. Pils, according to label, yes it is a pilsener. [33cl.btl 5.5% BB23.09.16] Dirk_T (77) - Frankfurt, GERMANY - AUG 18, 2016
