Bevibile ma niente di più !! Una classica bassa fermentazione con un gusto che presto abbandona la bocca. Per niente cattiva cmq.. troppo sempilce.. non da fare la fila per berla ecco !! TAR (2742) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - DEC 11, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 12, 2013 From tap at both the keller and brewery as well as fresh bottles over the past several years: Clear polished golden. Creamy halo of tight foam holds nicely. Soft and muted but attractive nose of haylike pils malt, flower nectar, fennel seed, and lemon. Some hoppy "greenness", as well. Firm carbonation. Bracingly mineralic and dryly malty, initially, with a soothing splash of floral hop juices. Very elegant and soft hop character is accompanied by slick melon flavors which harmonize with the lilac- and honeysuckle-tinged hops. Bright herbalness and a lemony twang combine to quench and uplift as the weightless pils malt looms gracefully in the background. Finishes with a pleasing scratch of minerals and soft noble hop whispers which vivify the bouncy fresh-hay notes. A fairly straightforward example that’s not very singular in character, but it’s quite clean. This beer is another head-scratcher in terms of its consistency, or lack thereof. After spending a lot of time in Franconia, one eventually realizes that there tends to be significant variance from tap to bottle. Such is the case with this beer, although the most positive experience was at the Rittmayer keller in Kreuzberg during May, 2013 (reflected in my score here). *Shrug.* kappldav123 (6097) - GERMANY - NOV 26, 2013
Had this as Rittmayer Hallerndorfer Handgranate. Bottle looks a bit hippie, but okay. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild, malty, quite sourish-moldy with some strange grasy-buttery notes. Mild finish, but still with moldy notes. Not my favourite. culchiem (3929) - Berlin, GERMANY - AUG 3, 2013
Draught at BBF2013.Served in a stone Krug so no idea what it looks like. Aroma is grainy malt. Flavour is sweet malt, slight bitter fruit on a nice mellow bitter finish. Imaena (2315) - Maputo, MOZAMBIQUE - MAY 31, 2013
Bottle. This is an excellent Helles which I wish was easier to come by stateside.

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2013 Bottle.
Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is light yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (lemon oil/cleaner, flowers), with light notes of celery and green onion.
Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly unclean.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Yet another very inconsistent brew. Had this on draft at around 3.5-3.7 quality, and now a fresh bottle purchased at the Gasthaus that sucks. How do you even rate brewers like this that are all over the place even with the same beer? Arggh. ogivlado (7775) - Zagreb, CROATIA - MAY 8, 2013
swing top bottle 330ml. -from Sörspecialista.hu, Budapest as Plop Landbier. Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, mild herbal nose. Moderate malty, grassy and light herbal with some hop presence in the finish. Simple and ok beer. MichaelAwesome (6516) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - MAR 20, 2013
Simple one with a bit sourness in the nose and bit dull in the taste. Still, quaffy, drinkable and quite ok. Average which means not bad in that case. McTapps (6856) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - MAR 19, 2013
One more Dortmunder/Helles that just tastes like any other of this style..the colour is a medium gold with a very airy head and average body. Nose of sweetish malt. Taste of mild fruits, green apples, low malt, medium hops and old cereals. Refreshing though but quite boring as well.
