Deep golden color, frothy white head. Very malty nose with a touch of cereal. Mouth shows some life with hay and cereal notes. Well balanced. Smooth. Very good low ABV beer.

Ceramic mug. Thin head. Minerally nose with light herbal hop. Soft body. Lots of hop. The malt character is a little woody and fairly minerally. Hoppy dry finish, though the body is a little thin. Still, for a leicht, this is a champ.

Golden with white lasting head. Grainy, "green" aroma. Taste i s sweet grain and grassy hops. Light body, soft carb. Surprisingly long finish with finely tuned hop-bitterness

Bottle @ Rittmayer keller, Kreutzberg. In a krug, has a golden color with scant white fizzy head. Aroma is clean with nice bright hop character. Watery palate but it goes down really well. Excellent toasty, and grassy flavors. Great hop bitterness here and some toasted wood. Amazing flavors for a light beer, one of the best I have tasted.

(swing top bottle, comes without the additive “Hallerndorfer”) Clear, deep golden to light amber colour with a big and dense foamy, slightly off-white head. Medium-sweet, slightly acidic grainy nose with delicate honey-fruity notes and grassy hops, also a tinge of wet cardboard. Quite bitter flavour, light bodied with a crispy carbonation. Soft grainy and slightly papery base with a good herbal, slightly grassy hop character; dry and slim but also moderately lasting herbal and bitter hoppy finish. Really not bad for a 3.5% Lager, a nice summer (Land-)bier.

50 cL bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is malty and slight grassy. Sweet malty, light butterish and subdued grassy hops. Bitter and dry finish. Vague lasting butterish note.

Bottle at Papsø’s - Thanks. Clear golden - white head. Light sourness, white bread, bitterness, light hoppy, grassy, hay, straw, zesty, citrus notes.

pivnizub (10575) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - MAY 22, 2013
Bügelverschlußflasche: Pale golden to golden, small - slowly diminishing - white head, a bit lacy, fresh citrussy to hayish traces of hops over a relatively solid pale-malty background, some rural-bready traces underneath; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, not watery but light bodied as expected; lingering dryish bitter finish with a pale-malty counterweight. Surely not superb, but still a very decent Franconian Lager, far better than the usual german crap from other regions…

downender (8584) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 4, 2013
Bottle at the Rittmayer keller in Hallerndorf, 21/7/2013. Deep gold with a decent, off-white head. Bready malts dominated both the flavour and aroma of this beer, with a hint of grassy hop and bitter finish. Ok.

Klare dunkel goldene Farbe, ordentliche weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, Getreide, Karamell, leicht hopfig. Geschmack schwach malzig, hopfig, würzig.
