On cask at the brewpub. 16 oz sample. Aroma is floral with a significant amount of orange juice and pulp present. Lightly sweet. Why use oranges? Moderate hazy copper -orange body with a large frothy off -yellow health. Good lacing. Starts really orangey but not due to hops. Followed by so sharp bitterness which is reminiscent of juniper berries. Finishes with an astringent and herbal dry bitterness. More orange flavors linger late Pretty gimmicky and not so great. marcus (10684) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUN 11, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy golden with a decent off-white head and a citrus aroma. There is a rich caramel malt flavor with nice hopping, enough for bittering, but not over the top. Very tasty. bhensonb (15768) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 6, 2011
Cask at the brewpub. Pours very hazy amber with a cramy off-white head. Strong pine aroma. Medium body. Lush and strong resin bitter, with some light citric fruit - could be the bergamot. Detectable malt. It is a bitter and delicious brew.
