Slight vanilla aroma and definite vanilla flavour. Light fizz. Taker than many kolsches, but couldn’t drink loads due to the sweetness. (K) slowrunner77 (12581) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 24, 2014
"Pretty standard per the style...they hit the guidelines well but this is a style that just doesn’t do much for me. Crisp and clean, but also light and uneventful." brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 19, 2013
On tap @ River City. Pale straw pour with a white head. Nose of apple skin, grass, straw, and grain. Pretty dry, at least. Not great, though. Flavor is far too bitter. Extremely dry, some straw, grass, and grain. Apple skin, orange peel, and maybe corn. Westkyoto77 (636) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 11, 2013
Draught at the brewpub. Piney but not resiny, slightly sour aromas.
Looks almost like white wine in the glass. Super light and crisp. Zero aftertaste. some citrus, fresh straw
Overall not bad. Very different to most kolsch I've had.

Tap at brewpub. Clear, shiny golden with a small disc of creamy bubbles. Faint nose of honey and grass. Taste is the same, but a bit bolder with some caramel grain hints as well and a big crisp finish. Light body is tingly, well balanced and has medium-high carbonation.

Tap. Pours clear yellow with a medium, creamy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is corn and Pils malt with spicy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with light hops and bitterness and a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation. GG (2332) - NorCal, California, USA - DEC 18, 2011
Sampler @ River City -

It’d been quite awhile since I’d last visited River City Brewing, so a day-trip to Old Sacramento found us walking over there. One of the first beers in the sampler, I have to say that it was rather unspectacular, but still quaffable. The nose was very faint, and I always hate how beer like this give off very little aroma, but what was there was just ever so slightly sweet. Flavor was very clean, with just a light malty finish. Light was the word with this beer. Sooo easy to knock down, I could see this one being very popular there.
On tap at the brewpub. Pours clear yellow with a thin off-white head and a floral aroma. There is a crisp caramel malt flavor with smooth hop bitterness. Refreshing. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - SEP 12, 2009
Golden pour with some chill haze, a nice head and big bubbles deflates to almost nothing. Aroma is very faint. Lightly sweet I guess. Sweet light grainy malt flavor. Crisp finish. Just not much here with this. kp (10881) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - JUL 19, 2009
