Draft at D’Als. Deep amber pour with a frothy head. Very fruity, ester driven aroma with sweet caramel and bready maltiness, notes of juniper. Flavor is similar with a fairly dense body. Meh, not what I look for in Saisons. njnut (486) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - MAY 25, 2014
UPDATED: MAY 29, 2014 poured at brewery a hazy deep gold. Had a nice white head. Aroma was wheat with a fruity note. Light in taste with a yeasty note and the fruitiness of what i am assuming is imparted by the juniper. Much different than I expected in fact i was pleasantly surprised by this one. glorydaze (35) - Savannah, Georgia, USA - MAR 9, 2014
Purchased as a growler from the brewery. Pours the color of apple cider with a small head. Aroma of tart apples and gin. Taste of spun sugar with just of hint of the juniper. Finish is citrus (grapefruit perhaps). Modest carbonation throughout. Not an expert on the style but very decent beer.
