Aroma is rich.
Appearance dark with tan head. Good head retention.
Taste - milk stout with coffee great.
Palate - long sweet coffee finish.
Can’t wait to have more of this one. alexsdad06 (11727) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - AUG 10, 2015
Draft to 5 oz taster at The Lodge Hilton Head. Pours dark brown to black in color with a medium sized creamy beige head. The aroma and flavor have some roasted malt, coffee, I get a hint of some fruity character, but for the most part, a decent coffee stout, as a side note, my wife liked this better than the Ballast Point Dorado I had with my meal. On tap at the brewery. Pours black, with a nice tan head. The aroma is big, smooth coffee, milk chocolate, and some talc. Sweet flavor, with just a littel roasted bitterness. Heavy body, syrupy, and quite smooth. This is an excellent, focused stout. Great coffee nose, balanced flavor, and smooth, clean mouthfeel.
