Had at new hope right after the brewery tour. Not a bad beer. Havn’t ever been too excited about winter warmers and this one is prob a little better than the others I had. Syrupy with some fruit. Slightly spicy with some yeast sediment.
Ewing, NJ. Belgian Ale typical style. Got that sweet taste. Good caramel color. Alcohol aroma. Strong Belgian alcohol content 8%

Bottle. Pours hazy dark orange with large foamy beige head, vanilla like Belgian yeast aroma, high carbonation, slightly salty caramel taste, medium caramel finish. Nice winter warmer. unclemike (3163) - Junction City Kansas, Kansas, USA - NOV 26, 2015
Cola-like appearance, light, off-white head, decent lacing. Aroma of Christmas spices, pipe tobacco and faint citrusy notes. The mouthfeel is just a bit thin - my only complaint. Flavor has the same Christmas spice esssence to it with somee black tea notes and otter malt essence. Overall, mark this one as decent and very interesting.

Drank from a twelve ounce bottle purchased at Buffalo Wild Wings in Parsippany, NJ poured into a pint glass. Pours a beautiful amber color with no head. Smells super sweet. Has a strong alcohol taste, but not a bad strong belgian by Riverhorse! ClassyBeagle (376) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 23, 2015
A: Sweet maltiness. Raisin, and other dried light fruits (apricot, peaches). Some spicy notes, i.e. clove.
A: Very dark, mahogany colored brew, with a nice tan head.
T: Basically follows the smell, except with more raisin and more booziness.
P: Medium to thin in body with little carbonation, slight alcohol burn.
O: Not an overly complex beer and for the 8% abv a bit disapointing for complexity but a very drinkable beer. ffaoe (912) - Moorestown, New Jersey, USA - JUL 24, 2015
malt and faint stone fruit aroma. light brown and hazy in color with little head. light caramel malt, faint cherry flavor. Dacrza (1034) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - APR 10, 2015
DATE TASTED: April 10, 2015... GLASSWARE: Affligem chalice... OCCASION: enduring what hopefully is the last cold night of the spring... APPEARANCE: flourishing, fizzing, off-white head settles from a cloud-like fluff to a consistent thickness; opaque amber body that allows little light through... AROMA: earthy enough with grass and herbs to suggest Summit hops, with a sightly spicy aspect; the backbone of each breathe is the caramel malt--loses its impact after a few swirls... PALATE: somewhat active feeling on the tongue; bubbly mouthfeel slips to a dry, lingering finish; thick overall... TASTE: an underwhelming nondescript mix of lightly sweet and bitter--surprising for a strong ale... OVERALL: a straight-forward, alcohol-masking winter warmer that drinks well and right; a beer that accomplishes its goal...
