Pours a nice merky brown, Iced tea color, with a nice thick white foamy head. Aroma of spices, Clove , Pumpkin. Taste is very pumkiny. Nice finish. Alcohol nicely hidden. BillWyce (1098) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 5, 2011
From notes: pours hazy orange-amber with a small, thin, light tan head. Aroma is a pleasant blend of pumpkin meat and pumpkin spices. Medium-bodied, with a mild depth to it. Taste is pleasant-heavier on the pumpkin spice up front with the pumpkin meat coming through more in the finish, along with a slight buttery note. SpencerH (33) - Maryland, USA - SEP 4, 2011
Not a bad offering, this tastes more like a heavy malt beer than a pumpkin beer though. You can pick up the pumpkin and some spice but you have to search for it. Good beer but if youre looking for pumpkin I would try something else. Aroma is of a malty beer and again you’ll have to search for the pumpkin and spice. Very drinkable, a good beer. Sampled at the beach with kristen. Pours a nice clear amber with ring of near white head. Smells like zuchinnibread. Not too heavy on the pumpkin or spices, but very present. Very good. A little alcohol heat. Good name and label. rman18 (312) - Caldwell, New Jersey, USA - SEP 1, 2011
I enjoyed this beer very much. It has a light note of pumpkin and a stronger note of roasted malt.

A: The beer pours a cloudy, brownish, amber color with a small, soapy, off-white head.
S: There’s a light metallic note to it and some water there as well. Very heavy on the spice/herb notes. There’s a ot of cinnamon and nutmeg along with a bit of sage. Some light grass and bready malt.
T: The flavor is almost savory/meaty. A light smoke note, some cardboard, and minimal pumpkin. There is also a moderate spice note, mostly the same ones as detected on the aroma.
M: Medium bodied with a medium carbonation.
O: Not a good aroma or flavor. Pretty bad pumpkin beer. jtclockwork (17101) - , New Jersey, USA - AUG 22, 2011
Bottle. Pours dark amber. Off white head. Nose/taste of all spice, pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg. Soda like carbonation out of the bottle. Mouth feel is a bit chalky with lots of pumpkin and spices. Touch of warming alcohol in finish. BenDoshin (17) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 19, 2011
Not a bad beer. It is quite balanced for a beer of above 8% ABV. Color hazy copper. Not much on the nose, but the taste is decent and it covers the mouth well. In the end it is a good beer, but not quite as "pumpkin-y" as I would like. Leafs93 (2332) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 14, 2011
Pours amber with beige head. Aroma was pumpkin, spices, cinnamon and caramel. Taste was sweet with some spicey pepper undertones. Light and alcohol as was well hidden. Firs pumpkin beer of the season. dmac (6434) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - AUG 6, 2011
12 oz bottle from Spirits Brick. Poured a dark brownish/deep amber body with a smaller to average sized light beige head. Aroma of pumpkin spice, nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin pulp, alcohol. Medium bodied with light carbonation that finishes with a lingering spiceiness. Flavors of spice, nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin, alcohol, bread, grains, corriander. Solid beer like most of the recent River Horse Brewer’s Reserve offerings. As for pumpkin beers thought this needs mroe spice to play with the big boys.
