Hop-A-Lot-Amus is not a myth, it exsists and can be bought at the local liquor store, well at least in NJ. I love this beer, its one of the only 4 packs worth the price. Each beer should slowly be consumed, taking time to notice the balance of flavors and perfect body. This double has the perfect consistancy for slow sippin and packs the punch we all love. If i was on a desert island, this would be my one thing. kipmartin9 (1) - New York, USA - AUG 5, 2014 does not count
One of the most outstanding beers I’ve enjoyed (cask version on this occasion). Butterscotch nose, sweet hops (brought to mind sugar snap peas -- brightness without palate-rawness), chewy mouthfeel, long evolution of flavors on the palate. pdiroquois (11) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - SEP 3, 2013
Really good beer. Hoppy but not overwhelming. Very pleasant beer worth sipping. closey22 (2027) - Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, USA - JUL 29, 2014
On cask. Deep hazy amber with thick Lasting foamy lacy beige head; aroma is distinctly floral hops; Flava is richly complex blend of floral spicy hops sweet malt; feels medium foamy; finsiens dry bitter hoppy but mildly so BvilleBronc (85) - Biglerville, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 14, 2010
12 oz bottler pour. do to unfiltering, pours a syrup in water orange with a nice large creamy off white head. Gives off pine resin scent with grapefruit and floral notes. Excellent head retention with numerous peaks and valleys forming as it slowly erodes. Leaves a sticky spider web of lace. Nice fruit and flowery flavor with a sticky astrigent mouthfeel. Great malt back to battle the strong hop profile. Grapefruit dominates with some orange notes, and almost blank canvas of oatmeal that just adds body and mellows the flavoring agents. 8.5? I would never guess. Summed up: An epic prizefight between tons of malt and tons of hops that is so evenly matched that it begs for a round 2, round 3, round 4........

A- Pours a nice orangey hue with a 2 finger, frothy, eggshell head that leaves lots of lacing as it dissipates.
S- A bouquet of citrus, wheaty grains, grapefruit.
T- Bready with a huge wave of grapefruit that overtakes the palate and finishes pretty bitter.
M- Medium to full bodied with a good amount of carbonation.
D- Definitely an underrated beer in my opinion. This is exactly the direction I love my DIPAs to go, lots of grapefruit hops, bitter finish, malt doesn’t come to the front end at all.

Very impressed with this one!! Poured a copper color - very cloudy with lots of active carbonation and an off white head that remained throughout. Very strong hoppy aromas and some subtle grass notes ... but the taste is where its at!! Big hoppy flavor ... citrus and floral - but balanced very well with some subtle sweetness. Very bold with a lot of texture and an awesome finish. This is the first IPA style beer that I actually liked better as it warmed to room temp. I have been disappointed with some River Horse stuff in the past ... but this one is definitely a winner!! Yum!! nickmoyer (25) - Laureldale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 21, 2013
A surprisingly very smooth IPA. Not too much of a bite with the after taste. Biggest complaint is that I currently don't have more in my fridge.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very cloudy orange-apricot color with a large foamy orange-beige head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet pine, grapefruit and pineapple. The flavor was sweet, tangy and bitter with moderate pineapple and grapefruit and light notes of caramel, nut and bread. The finish was long and sweet with lingering fruit cocktail. Thick and full bodied. Excellent.
