UPDATED: MAR 27, 2014 Re-rate under correct listing. Black with a thick mocha head. Aroma is baker’s chocolate and oat. Very pleasant and balance. Taste adds some fudge but is just slightly overly bitter. Medium sticky palate. Pretty solid, but not on the level of the coffee version.
Bottle JB shared. Pours black as night with a thin tan head . Aroma of roast malt and sweet lactose. Thick and creamy on the palate. Flavor of roasty oats, some burnt malt and lots of sweet sugar. jb (3348) - Rochester, New York, USA - AUG 28, 2017
Sticky sweet is the first impression. I did not get much nose. Big licorice taste, lots of flavor, complex palate, enjoyable. Bottle from Andy. Bacchus66 (905) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 27, 2017

Pours black with a soapy film of tan head. Some sweet but somewhat young malt notes in the nose. Builds from a slightly sweet to a bitter aftertaste with some burnt toast throughout. Doesn’t belie the alcohol, not bad for the style. Mindwarp (285) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 1, 2017
Thanks to my friend Francis. Pours the same color as every stout I’ve ever poured, with a small tan head. Strong aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. Taste is really good, creamy chocolate. Overall a really good stout. WillRunForBeer (2735) - Massachusetts, USA - MAY 3, 2016

A smooth and rich and creamy stout. Definitely will drink again. Not too heavy.
