Poured draught at Rattle N Hum in NYC. Pours pitch black without much head. Intense aroma of espresso with some chocolat notes and oats. An overall sweet smell. Taste is sweet with some bitterness in the finish. A really nice stout.

Pours black with a soapy film of tan head. Some sweet but somewhat young malt notes in the nose. Builds from a slightly sweet to a bitter aftertaste with some burnt toast throughout. Doesnt belie the alcohol, not bad for the style.

Thanks to my friend Francis. Pours the same color as every stout Ive ever poured, with a small tan head. Strong aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. Taste is really good, creamy chocolate. Overall a really good stout.

12oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is molasses, chocolate, mild coffee. Flavor is molasses, chocolate, but mostly dominated by overextracted coffee. Thin for a milk stout.

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2017 Black pour with a short lived fizzy brown head. Aroma is earthy, sweet, and roasty with notes of chocolate with mild coffee. Definitely thinner than i prefer. Flavor is solid with semi aweet chocolate, some coffee notes, hints of molasses, earthy finish.

Appearance: pours with a small brown head, the beer is an opaque black color with nice size brown particles floating around the bottom Aroma: milk chocolate, dark roasted coffee, Taste: chocolate with a mild milk sweetness, alcohol warmth, some coffee bitterness but it's minimal Palate: soft carbonation, full mouthfeel, slight bittersweet aftertaste Overall: this is pretty good, a bit more alcohol warmth comes thru than I was expecting with its moderate abv, nice mix of milk and chocolate though ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light aroma is the only negative about this beer. Nice dark color, thick mouth feel, and excellent taste. Very sweet, even for an oatmeal milk stout. Maybe a slight milk chocolate scent and taste for that sweet portion. Tap

Deep dark brown beer with a medium foamy beige head that subsides quickly. Nose of cocoa, root beer, and scorched nuts. Flavor is rich and sweet with chocolate, sweetened coffee, and vanilla giving way to a mellow roasted bitterness that lingers. Relatively thin body for a stout, but lots of flavor. This is good.
