Black with very little head. Aroma is of burnt malts and coffee. Taste had a bit too much smoke to me. Very thin mouthfeel as well. sonnycheeba (6342) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - FEB 4, 2012
Draft. Pours black with thin beige head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit, and light smoke. Flavor is heavy roasted and caramel malt, light earthy hops, and average dark fruit esters. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth. BeerandBlues2 (13806) - Escondido, California, USA - FEB 2, 2012
Tap. Pours black with a medium fizzy tan head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is chocolate and roast malt, light coffee notes, and dark fruity esters. Flavor is malt dominant with dark fruity esters, light hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body, warmth and carbonation. kramer (6905) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 4, 2011
Tap. Pours a clear dark brown body with a nice tight bubbled light brown head that retained as a thin film. The nose is awesome, tons of coffee and roast with some moderate hopping. Super chocolate malt shining through as well. The flavor is full of coffee as well, nice sweet/dry balance. Enough hops to brighten up the finish. Medium bodied, nice robust feel on the tongue with light fizzy carbonation. Lingering chocolate and roast. A very nice Porter, right up my alley. bierkitty (183) - Elysburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 19, 2011
Massive aroma of molasses and chocolate......rich smooth and malty. Could have been slightly more carbonated. (May have been a bad carbonation night.) All in all a really tasty classic robust porter.
