A - Pours straw yellow with a nice one finger tall white head leaving spotty lacing down the glass.
S - Smells of light citric fruits; mostly lemon and oranges; earthy minerals from the salt, and a dulled breadyness from the yeast.
T - Starts off with a nice light citric fruit kick, mostly lemon, quickly giving way to a mix of bready malt, light spice, and a dulled mineral feel from the salt. It almost tastes like a pale ale with a bit more minerals in it. Finish is a mix of light fruit and minerals, lingering for a short period of time.
M - Medium-Light body and flavor with moderate carbonation. It has a light, yet mineral heavy, feel throughout.
O - I really enjoyed this one. It was a perfect beer for a hot afternoon like today and it really hit the spot. A perfect beer to have in-between all these other big beers.
This one is certainly an acquired taste. Pours golden with a slight cloudiness to it. There’s a slight floral quality on the nose. The taste is very salty but with that touch of floralness as well. It’s quite refreshing in it’s own way. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 2, 2011
Tap. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold with a nice one inch frothy white head. The nose is very citrusy and bright with some Wit like characteristics. Smells almost like Sprite really. The flavor is really refreshing and bright with a great citrusy kick accentuated by the coriander. There’s a slight hint of sea salt on the finish that really livens it up. Crisp and light bodied with great lively carbonation. This is indeed a great summer thirst quencher. Easily the best version of a Gose I’ve had from america.
