500ml bottle. Golden, coppery colour with a very thin soapy head. Toffee aroma and toffee flavour. Not much else going on BlackHaddock (7562) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAR 6, 2015
500ml bottle: BBE Oct 15. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 6th Mar 15, during Scottish tasting session I had with myself. Blonde in name, golden in colour, the head a fast fading white covering. Not much in the nose, some mild maltiness with a whiff of hops below maybe. The taste however was fine, malty lead with a good bitter centre and finish. Toffee notes in the flavour, but not overly sweet. Decent and enjoyable: would be happy to drink this again and again, a good session ale.
