COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"A beer to be enjoyed by all. English malts and Santanum hops provide full flavor to this medium bodied red ale. A mild hop character makes this our beer of choice on a hot sunny day."

Draft at the source. Clear reddish amber with a thin white head. Caramel malt balanced nicely with grassy hops. This is light bodied with a smooth finish, very drinkable.

11/19/16. Purchased in HHI somewhere. Red pour with a small khaki head. Light caramel aroma, wort, bread. Lightly sweet flavor, caramel, wort, grassy, a hint of a nutty aspect. Eh.

From tap at brewery. Pours a reddish color with a haze and thin white head. Aroma was sweet malt, fruit and caramel. Taste was a not to malty red ale with a bitter balance and a slight fruity hop. Very good offering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2016 Draft at Tavern 77 The Broad River Red Ale poured a clear amber with a great head and lacing. This is a good red ale with nice hop bitterness . The ale had a light body with average carbonation. The ale stayed with a dry clean sip to the last swallow. had another at Thanksgiving 2016. above average Red Ale. Nice hop bitterness.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Fruit, malt and bread, nice mix. Appearance- A reddish yellow with a small white head. Taste- Malt, hops and fruit. I really like the taste! Palate- A light bodied brew with moderate carbonation. Has a great texture that matches the sweetness level of the flavor. Overall- I really enjoyed this beer. Next time I am in South Carolina I will search this beer out.

Kind of basic red. I’d like it more if I drank a larger amount. It’s good, but not exciting.

A nice malty beer. With a light hop bite. Sweet but still a bit thin on the tongue. Quick fading head. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Enjoyed this on draft in a local Columbia pub, also had sampled this previously at the River Rat brewery tap room. A drinkable amber ale as advertised, refreshing. Features a red amber appearance with good head. Sweet aroma. A relatively mild taste, mostly caramel malt with some brown sugar accents, mild hoppiness, not earthy like many other amber ales. Has a pleasant clean finish. Also, as a Columbia resident and a regular runner along the Broad river, I appreciate the local theme of this brew. Good overall, recommended.
