Thanks for the trade JB. jb (3270) - Rochester, New York, USA - JUN 11, 2017
Powdery chocolate. Seemed like a dry stout. Okay. Toasty roasty throughout. nimbleprop (8474) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAR 24, 2017
On tap at Old Bull Tavern in Beaufort. Pours a translucent dark brown/black with some clumpy, off white head. Straight up stout nose, toast, toffee, mild coffee bean, some grist, a little molasses chew. Flavor follows, toast, bread crust, molasses, toffee, coffee soda. Dry finish, grainy. Just a good ol’ stout. Travlr (25267) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 15, 2016
Draft at the source. Dark brown color, small tan head. Aroma of dark roast coffee. Taste is roasty coffee grounds. Nice. jgb9348 (6324) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JUL 10, 2015
Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of hazlenuts, walnuts, light malt, alcohol and a touch of cream - not too much deep here. Medium-bodied; Assertive nutty flavour with some subdued malt and cream flavours and a little chocolate flavour, but no coffee nor roasted malt flavour in here at all. Aftertaste shows cream, hazlenuts, peanuts and a touch of peat - not much going on here in any respect. Overall, a decent beer at best with no chocolate, no coffee and no depth at all. That said, it isn’t a bittering nor offensive beer at all. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from The Charleston Beer Exchange in Charleston, South Carolina on 20-April-2015 for US$2,39 sampled at home in Upstate New York on 10-July-2015.

Another good one at River Rat. Thinner than many stouts, but very drinkable with great flavor.
