Leeds Beer Festival 2017. Golden ale. There’s some toffee notes that are slightly more stated, and linger longer in its taste than aroma.

Cask, handpump at The Riverhead Brewery Tap, Marsden, West Yorkshire, 22.04.11 Pours warm gold with a white head there is a slight haze. There is a touch of cardboard at first but then some citrus shows. Bit dry at the end, little bit thin. Easy drinking and inoffensive. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Cask as Boatland Bitter. A dark golden beer with a dense orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt as well as lighter notes of sulphur. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt as well as lighter notes of caramel and straw, leading to a lightly bitter finish. The mouthfeel is smooth.

Cask handpump at The Wellington, Birmingham. Golden orange with hardly any head. Not much scent, just a slight hint of flowers. More sweet than I would expect from a bitter, with a dry end. Quite malty, biscuits and cream in there with some straw and pears, I think. Quite a thick mouthfeel. Nice.

Cask (handpump) @ Rat & Ratchet (Ossett), 40 Chapel Hill, West Yorkshire, Huddersfield Road, HD1 3EB.

[ As Riverhead Boatland Bitter ].
Clear medium to light amber color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100119]

Cask. I took this down as "Boatland Bitter" but guess it’s this one. Slightly hazy pale amber with a creamy off-white head. A little fruit and butter in the nose. Thin and watery with lots of caramel and fruit with a subdued bitterness. 190110

Cask at Peterborough beer fest. Alround rating: Buttery(shock shock horror) nutty, almond paste, floural, like very floural which helps it all.

Attractive orange/amber colour. Modest aroma with some subtle hop presence coming through. Some lemony citric notes in the flavour. Soft and clean, with a dryish finish. Not the most exciting beer, but a solid pint. Cask (handpump), Riverhead Brewery Tap, Marsden.
