Clear, deep brown, decent light tan head.
Scent is malt, bread.
Taste is again, heel of bread, malt. slight caramael, some tea.
Very easy drinking, mild.....slight bitter at the middle.
Dark fruit, more roasty as it warms.....pretty decent. AcctError131151 (118) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - FEB 4, 2012
Bottle. It was a gusher, but once I got the miles and miles of head down it looked pretty nice. A translucent brown with some lacing. Smells of sweet crystal malt and some noble hops. Pleasant, but not spectacular. Low-ish carbonation. Full, smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is munich malt with some roastiness. A lot more fruity than expected, which earns it demerits. Overall this is a pretty good, easy-drinking beer. But it is not without its flaws. Drjohnrock (831) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 24, 2011
Twelve ounce bottle from Rivertown variety pack bought at Remke/biggs in Delhi Township. Tan head that slowly left town with little lacing, cloudy dark amber color, good matly aroma, initial fizzy mouthfeel gies way to good, interesting malty flavor. I would suggest serving this somewhat warmer than the 42 degrees recommended in the commercial description. jcwattsrugger (12517) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - DEC 10, 2011

Bottle. twist-off. pours dark rced to dark amber. head is medium but fades quickly. Nose lends to sweet dark. reads, caramels, nuts, and various rich malt aromas. no hop aroma. Flavor is sweet bready malts but is restrained on the caramel side. no hop flavor. good full malt flavor without any hop flavor or caramel sweetness. Finishes with a good balance between sweetness and dry malts. the carbonation is a little fizzy and really takes away from the expirence. could have been less thin and fizzy with more flavor. jcr (2726) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - OCT 17, 2011
Bottle. Bottle. Clear brown body. Fizzy, light brown head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt, nuts. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Taste of grains and caramel with a hint of cherry tartness. Medium body, watery texture, moderate carbonation. Average. rondphoto (4490) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - OCT 16, 2011
Medium amber, light head and lace. Primarily malted grain with a hint of sweet bread and caramel. It is still in the glass, but there is snappy carbonation on the tongue providing a nice balance. Easy drinker. danielcurtis81 (1519) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 11, 2011
Served from a 12 oz bottle courtesy of Craig. The appearance is a cloudy copper with a big off white head. The aromas are sweet malts, caramel, a bit nutty. Good sweet malts, sweet bread, caramel, hard nuts. The mouth is medium bodied, well carbonated and slightly astringent. A good dunkel.
