Our Hefeweizen is an old world Bavarian style, top fermented wheat ale. It will entice you with its full body, refreshing taste, and savory aromas of sweet malt, spicy cloves and fresh bananas. It is naturally cloudy from the high wheat content, and traditional weizen yeast. Best served with a slice of lemon.

Word of caution here - I’m not hefe drinker, but I do manage to have a half a dozen or so of them a year.Appearance of this hefe is classic(golden and hazy) is classic. Aroma is slightly citrus, the flavor is almost like biting in to a lime, with not enough banana flavors or cloves. I think this beer might appeal to the masses, but I doubt that it is going to appeal to the beer geek that happens to like a hefe.

Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of yeast, bananas and malts. Taste is fruit and yeast.

Wow, great hefe. Cloudy beer. Orangish yellow colors. Light banana flavor, lingering. Delicious!

12oz bottle. pours unclear golden with a quickly faded white head. Aroma is sweet and bready, some candy character, a bit of sharp fruitiness. Flavor starts oddly plastic and sweet fruit, some banana candy kinda note, medicinal plastic finish, sort of that typical home brew infected character. bleh i hope it was just this batch, if i try again ill re rate

A nice wheat offering from Cinci. Light yellow. Pretty in glass. Banana and cloves in the nose and a sharp finish on the tongue.

12oz bottle-shared by decaturstevo-pours a dissipating white head and cloudy straw/pale yellow color. Aroma is clove, secondary raw wheat. Taste is clove/lemon/banana, yeast, secondary raw wheat.

Served from a 12 oz bottle thanks to Craig. The appearance is a very pale straw with a foamy white head. A strong wheat, malt, and banana nose. Flavors are pretty metallic and medicinal with a lot of lemon. Mouth is heavy with carbonation. Not my thing and I couldn’t finish it.

Twelve ounce bottle from Rivertown variety 12 pack purchased at Remke/biggs in Western Hills. Intense clove/spice aroma, small very white head, cloudy yellow color, moderate wheat/spicy flavor with strong banana notes. Not my favorite beer style but I like this one because the clove isn’t overdone in the flavor.

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2011 Purchased from Remke/Biggs in Glenway, crossing, Cincinnati, Ohio - Alright, this one pours a golden brew with a fizzy white head of foam and a SLIGHT banana/cloves aroma (heavy on the cloves). Tastewise, it’s alright, with the expected doughy maltiness, but this one lacks the stout body of a true hefeweizen.

hazy light honey color, small head, minimal lace. This is a light wheat drink, hurt by the flavor of cloves(?) on the palate. It begins as any hefe, but the taste doesn’t last. The palate is dominated by the odd flavoring which lasts well beyond the finish. Not undrinkable, but also not a flavor I would seek out.

Bottle. Bready, extremely wheaten aroma with light yeast, light vanilla, and medium-strong bananas. Cloudy, gradient yellow-golden with a short and acrid white head. Taste is sweet a little slimy, has some mild rubber and plastic imperfections, yeast and very mild cloves. Slimy medium body and a fruity finish, but I’m not sure I like how my mouth feels afterward.
