3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Andy. Appearance is much darker than most PA’s. Dark amber, almost copper. Aroma is that of spicy malts and dry hops. This pale is malty and spicy from the rye with a nice hop finish. Tastes very much like a Christmas ale. Different and pretty good.
Nice hoped flavor no bitter after taste, goes down easy, not to expensive 5.5% means I can have s few. wedgie9 (2703) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 10, 2015
Tasted on 3/31/12 from a bottle. Pours clear amber orange with an average off-white head that leaves average lace. The nose is resin hops, mineral, vitamin, and light caramel malt. The flavor is light with the mineral, light earthy yeast, and resin hops. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long bitter hops and mineral finish. Lightly sweet cereal aroma. Clear bronze. Slightly sweet, a bit acidic, hops apparent but this is not a big hop monster. Medium body, cereal sweet hop aftertaste. On tap, Growler County. TheSilentSaint (102) - Ohio, USA - JAN 30, 2015
A regular rye beer.. Some spicey notes. Amber color. Smooth to drink but nothing great about it.

On tap, poured into a shaker. Citrus and floral aromas are most noteable with some caramel and a touch of grain. It’s a slight hazy orange with an off-white, soapy and foamy, thick ring of head with a decent surface retention and a waxy looking lace. The taste starts with a medium sweet and finishes witb a medium bitter. The waxy texture is thin with a soft fuzzy carbonation and a medium body full of primarily caramel and grains flavors. Spice notes, a light pine, and rye finish it off and leaves a mellow, lingering rye and caramel aftertaste. It strikes me as a solid, sessionable beer.

It poured a clear amber color with a tan head. The aroma was of light esters, herbal hops and light malts. The taste was of hops and malts with a finish that was fairly clean. Decent. GnarlyGnome (673) - Fairfield, Ohio, USA - AUG 3, 2014
Draft: nice solid pale ale. It doesn’t stand out in the crowd, but it’s a very nice drinking beer... Lots of floral, fruity and citrus flavors on top a big malty backbone. Very good stuff. Steverus0 (332) - Shreveport, Louisiana, USA - JUL 19, 2014
A solid entry to the gamut of pale ales and IPAs entering the market these days.
Pour is a bit coppery with a small but fluffy and enduring head. Transluscence is normal.
Nose is typical floral hops with just a hint of the rye hanging in the wings. The spice does show up clearly on the palate with mild bitterness and limited malts making this a hop forward but not overwhelming brew.

Bottle. Deep orange amber with thin fast fading white head. Nose is more subtle. Spicy rye, light grapefruit, pine, grass, crackery malts. Flavor is similar. A little on the malty side, but not sweet thankfully. Fairly well balanced. Could use a little more hop flavor for my tastes. I liked this more than I expected. I’d say this a little underrated overall. jtclockwork (17655) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 24, 2014
