Funny to see the large standard deviation in the rates for this. Not surprising - it’s very sharp and seems like a take it or leave it type brew. I probably don’t know the style well enough to place it (though I’d like to). I’m on the take it side though. On tap at World of Beer in Brewery District: copper pour, slight off-white ring. aroma of light vinegar, berry. tastes are sharp sour berry, vinegar, grape, lemon, pomegranate,oak, acidic.. nice big sour sipper. - 7.8

Very good. A shocking amount of tartness, some sweetness and funk in the finish, and a sharp sour sensation as a chaser. Have some slight pomegranate flavor, but not overly so.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2015 Draft at The Brass Tap - U Square. Pours a hazy salmon-tinted gold with a small white head that settles into a ring and leaves a few spots of lace. The aroma is dominated by vinegar. The flavor has more complexity; pomegranate, lemon, grape skins, vanilla, oak, sour tropical fruits, sugar, and - yeah - a lot of vinegar, too. Tap Sample. Poured clear golden color with an average fizzy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Sour tart fruit aroma. Medium to full body with tingly texture and flat carbonation. Tasted on 7/25/14 from a 64oz growler purchased at Craft Brewed. Pours fiery red/orange with an average pink-tinged head that slowly recedes to average, bubbly lace. The nose is a really nice blend of traditional lambic style citrus tartness with a mixture of both fresh pomegranate and more candied grenadine, along with a very light and very lightly toasted oak aroma. The flavor is a bit stronger on the tart, somewhat abrasive side, with the pomegranate, grenadine, and oak showing lightly sweet on the back of the palate. This really is reminiscent of a traditional fruited lambic. Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a hazy pinkish, purple, orange color with a small lightppink head. The aroma and flavor have tart pomegranate and berries, lactic, moderate acidity, solid funk, I really enjoy their lambics and gueuze and wish they did more of them, finishes tart to sour pomegranate, light woody character with lingering acidity.
