COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crafted for the ones that are free to enjoy their Porter all year round. This rich, Imperial Porter combines the perfect blend of LaTerza espresso, vanilla and innovation into a big, rich, chocolate, espresso infused brownie of a beer that is as innovative as its namesake. Rivertown was asked to craft a beer for a community festival in 2011 which celebrated the 145th Birthday of the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge linking Cincinnati, OH and Covington, KY. This Imperial Porter is inventive, unique, well balanced, strong, and has been created to be as timeless and remarkable as the Roebling Bridge, the man who dreamed big and the community that brought that dream to life.

Bottle from Table and Vine. Pours out a very dark blackish brown. Thin head fades quickly. Sweet and roasty aromas and flavor. Smooth roasty body. Good balance, but still rather thick and sweet.

Pours a dark brown, almost black color with a short lived khaki head. Sugar, syrup, caramel, vanilla, light coffee and toast aroma.Vanilla, sugar, coffee, caramel, toffee and toast flavors. Medium light body and moderate carbonation. Sweet vanilla and licorice finish. Super watery and pretty bland overall. You have to really look for the flavors.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8308) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 31, 2016
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a thin almost black color with a trace soapy brown head that faded and left no lacing. The aroma was vanilla and brewed coffee. The flavor was vanilla cream, brewed coffee, cocoa and hint of wood and dark fruits. Medium length finish. Medium body and smooth but undercarbonated. Feels like its close to being really good but keeps falling short in every category.

Style et résumé: Imperial porter mince.
Comment: EBF 2016.
Portrait: Un liquide brun. Un nez de chocolat, café, de vanille et grain rôtis. Une bouche similaire avec des saveurs de chocolat et fruits rouges. Une texture plutôt aqueuse gâche la sauce.
Note: 6+/10

Poured a dark brown with virtually no head. Smells of coffee and vanilla which I guess shouldn’t be surprising, hence it being described as a "vanilla espresso" porter. Super thick body and tastes sweet and roasty.

12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate and light roasted malts, vanilla, coffee, some sweet malts, and light dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. A decent beer, a little sweet for my taste.

SlovakSniper (5561) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 14, 2016
Arômes de café, de chocolat en sirop et de vanille avec malts rôtis. Intéressant. Les saveurs sont entre la douceur et l’amertume. Enfin de bouche, des fruits foncés se signalent. Dommage que ce soit mince en bouche. Correct.

Bebum (1126) - Massachusetts, USA - FEB 12, 2016
Dark copper, clear, tight lace. Medium body, rather flat mouthfeel, low heat and carbonation, intense roast flavors, long palate. Bitter, sweetish. Dark roast coffee, lactose. Unimpressive but not unpleasant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
