COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crafted for the ones that are free to enjoy their Porter all year round. This rich, Imperial Porter combines the perfect blend of LaTerza espresso, vanilla and innovation into a big, rich, chocolate, espresso infused brownie of a beer that is as innovative as its namesake. Rivertown was asked to craft a beer for a community festival in 2011 which celebrated the 145th Birthday of the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge linking Cincinnati, OH and Covington, KY. This Imperial Porter is inventive, unique, well balanced, strong, and has been created to be as timeless and remarkable as the Roebling Bridge, the man who dreamed big and the community that brought that dream to life.

Pours dark brown with an off white head. Lots of vanilla, cinnamon, and toffee in the nose. Lots of vanilla flavor...almost entirely vanilla...surprised it isn’t better balanced with the coffee...or the uhhh, porter. Medium mouthfeel with that vanilla astringent aftertaste. An alright beer...the base beer isn’t good enough to hold up to the vanilla...and im not sure what makes this "imperial" at under 8%.

Roebling espresso vanilla imperial porter. lots of words. Rich dark brown brew with a very fine almost not there head of tan bubbles. The aroma is slightly sweet vanilla over a richly roasted dark chocolate malt. Taste is initially a bit sweet but resolves into a nice roasted dark chocolate and black coffee with a bit of cream bitter. body is full and silky. a very decent porter.

On tap pours black with tan head. Had a nitro version on tap not sure if the usual is usually a nitro. Really good, coffee, vanilla, chocolate, toffee. Very roasty then finished sweet.

This is a tasty brew. Alcohol taste and aroma are upfront and make this beer seem like more than 7.5abv. Chocolatety on the palate with a nice finish of vanilla and sweet fruity notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thanks to drowland for this.Pours a deep dark brown fading to black, light off-white head. Aroma has some nice earthy black topsoil essence to it, with a touch of licorice. Flavor has some coffee, a hint of licorice, some earthy black dirt essence. Mouthfeel is slightly dry and chalky which is nice. Best of the bunch from Rivertown that drowland shared with me - but still has a touch of that butterscotch noted in their other beers - just mixes in well in this case. .

Light aroma, almost imperceptible. Pours brown with a solid off-white head. Light-bodied and vanilla forward in taste...an ok porter. Notes: GABF ’13
