A- Translucent dark grapefruit-pink body served in a pint glass with a very thin white head. Head quickly subsides and leaves nothing behind. Body color is very interesting.
S- Big sweet fruity smell with some breadiness in the background.
T- Initial taste is full of big blackberry flavor. It is not overly sour or overly sweet-just a nice authentic blackberry flavor. A yeasty breadiness balances the background. Flavor in consistent the whole way through.
P- Low carbonation and light yeasty mouthfeel. Not thin or watery.
O- This is a pretty good fruit beer. Flavor is authentic and not overpowering with sweetness. I probably could have had another pint but I wanted to try something else.

One of my favorite fruit beers that I have had many times by this brewer. Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a murky vibrant violet-red with a large khaki head. The aroma was strong sweet and tart berries. The flavor was strong tangy, sweet and tart blackberries with a touch of biscuit underneath. The finish is long with sweet berry. The mouthfeel is chewy and thick. Very well done! cheap (6132) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 12, 2008
Finally got to try this one. Can’t smell the fruit or blackberries but if you search you will find some fruit. Cloudy yellow brown. Barely any carbonation. Tart without being sour or sweet. Finish is not in your face and the blackberry is barely there. An OK fruit beer. dpjuart (1112) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 28, 2007
11/13/07 - Draft sample at brewpub. Red color. Blackberry huge in the front. Suprised by the Beer-i-ness in it. Not a bad fruit beer. zebracakes (1339) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 8, 2007
On tap at the Pour House. Salmon-lavendar color, off white head. Aroma is fruit punch. Flavor is blackberry with a chemical bitterness.

Draught sample at Rivertowne. Medium blackberry fruit aroma with some light hops and a touch of wheat. Cloudy amber with a hint of reddish-copper color. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts with some nice berry flavor, muskier and sweeter than some other blackberry beers. Light pilsner or wheat malt flavor. Good fruity flavor, can tell it’s blackberry. Mild fruity after with some dry bitterness, a tad watery, but definitely a nice summer quencher.
