FROTHINGSLOSH (8142) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 27, 2012
UPDATED: JAN 28, 2012 Too dark for a typical tripel but otherwise a fairly nice effort. +++ Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a cloudy dark brown color with a small foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was dryish, a bit chalky and had a faint golden fruit presence. The flavor was tangy with noted table sugar and moderate candied golden fruits. There were undertones of chalk, bread, honey, banana and clove. The finish was long and tangy with bread, honey and candied golden fruits lingering. Full bodied. The alcohol was well hidden. Nice.
