A beer so enticing you may think it’s nectar from the gods. The name "Hala Kahiki" (Hah-lah-kah-hee-kee), originates from the Hawaiian words for pineapple. Feel the way it rolls off your tongue? Our sweet and refreshing beer will take you away...have a sip...grab a lei!

An interesting drinking experience. Strong pineapple juice aroma. Pineapple is present in the finish without being overly sweet. Overall not very beer like though. Flat, light body, not as crisp as i expected, slightly oily feel. Left me feeling refreshed but unsatisfied and still wanting a real beer. A very drinkable and confusingly interesting beverage.

Draft at Jungle Jims. Pours a slightly hazy yellow golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have pretty much sweet pineapple juice and not much else. Not my thing.

Bigtime aroma and flavor of pineapple. Is it obnoxious? is it chintzy? Is it cheap? Probably. But I like it. Minor acidic accompaniment. Very slight bitter feel.

on tap @ Vino Bellissimo / Lima OH --- Hazy grapefruit amber color, white head cover, strings of lace. Taste opens like a sour ale that forgets to turn sour. It begins with light slightly sour malt, then adds semi-sweet fruit (mostly pineapple) on the swallow, and never gives up the fruit as it moves through an uneventful finish. Ir reminds me of the juice that pineapple in cans is packed with. Okay, but not a beer.

Drank from a sampler glass at the Electric City Craft Brew Fest! Strong aromas of pineapple, but the flavor tastes unnatural (that’s a shame!) Pours a hazy, light yellow. I expected more.

Know going in that this is a fruit beer. They aren’t trying to fool you into thinking it is a flavored beer. It’s fruit beer. The pineapple is great and true, not a fake syrup or flavor. It’s smooth and great for poolside or the beach. Tap.

Appearance is light hazy yellow. Aroma is of pineapples. Taste is just like pineapple juice. Overall I’m not a big fan of pineapple, so it isn’t my favorite.

Twelve ounce can from Rivertowne Paradise sampler 12 pack purchased at Jeff’s Marathon, tasted on December 31, 2014. Cloudy yellow hue, sweet and sour smell, mostly pineapple flavor. OK but too sweet for me. May be more to others’ taste. I may be wrong but this drinks like a radler--not the type of beer I would put in a sampler pack but Rivertowne knows what they’re doing (I guess).

Can poured a clear yellow wioth a small lingering white head. Aromas of bread, pineapple and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread, pineapple and light earthiness with a crisp lingering pineapple finish.

can. Golden with two finger head. Sweet pineapple with prickly carbonation. Doesn’t seem particularly beer-like, but it’s plenty pleasant.
