Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark red-amber color with a tan head. The aroma was bitter, floral, herbal and odd. The flavor was bittersweet floral, herbal and malty. Rather like herbal tea. Interesting. dpjuart (1112) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 29, 2008
Draft sample at the Pour House. Pours light brown with mild amber hues, no head. Nose is caramel, biscuit and herbal, grassy notes. Taste is huge malt, caramel bread and biscuit with mild to moderate bitter for style and an herbal quality. Nice alcohol heat and flavor. Tasty brew. On tap at Rivertowne. Sweet malty aroma, with caramel and some sweet biscuit, a bit of banana and brown sugar, neutral fruit and mild molasses. Dark caramel-copper with slight haze, thin head. Medium heavy watery body with medium carbonation. Starts sweet with rich malty grains, brown sugar, light banana and toffee. Smooth fruity notes in the finish, with very mild bitterness. Nice scotch.
