This light-medium bodied ale is perfect for these warm lazy days. With banana and clove overtones as a result of fermentation with a unique strain of German Ale yeast, this is one hefe with a boost.

Pours pineapple into glass with a thin white head. Nice banana and estery notes on the nose. The taste is balanced since it finishes clean without being overly dry. Best thing Ive had here so far.

A- Translucent golden yellow body with thin white head. Head eventually subsides to thin white collar. No lacing is left behind in the glass. Haze is moderately thick and uniform. S- Sour citrus hits the nose first along with plenty of spices. A solid bready yeast is in the background along with hints of banana. T- Big sour citrus zest upfront with lots of spiciness and yeast to balance. Citrus fades for the finish where peppery spice and yeast really come out with hints of banana. Peppery spice and sweet bready spice linger. P- Low carbonation accentuates the smooth, yeasty mouthfeel of this one. O- Other than the appearance this is almost exactly how I like my hefes. This one has bold flavor but a very light and drinkable character too. This is a bit more sour than the typical hefe-but it makes it much more interesting. Something I hope is around when I visit again-because its delicious! Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 10-08-2007 00:39:06

Very cloudy hefe weizen like most unfiltered, and the aroma is a welcome hello to your nose.. Banana, clove, and a yeasty sweetness wins you over and then the taste you would expect from a hefe’. Very smooth, refreshing, and a beer that you can enjoy over and over on a warm summer day.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2007 Good, rather spicey hefe aroma. Cloudy light yellow beer appearnce, like a witbier. Bananas, oranges, and spices abound in the flavors. Not too overwhelming as with many spiced wheat beers. Has some good tingles. Pretty good taste and easy to enjoy. Friendly and happy. Has some characteristics of wine in the flavors. Just a tad of bitterness. Overall, not bad.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a cloudy pale straw yellow color with a trace of a white head. The aroma was light wheat and banana. The flavor was a nice mix of clove, bubblegum and wheat. There was a banana undertone that lingered on the finish. A nice example of the style.

Draught sample at brewery. Light lemony clove aroma, wheaty, yeasty and a touch of banana. Cloudy pale butterscotch with light foamy lacing head. Medium-light watery body with medium carbonation. Good weizen profile with some acidity to it. Wheaty with mild clove and chalky bitter finish. A bit more lemony that many other German wheats so it takes on a bit of witbier quality. Lemon yeasty finish with light bitterness.
