4 oz draft sampler. Honey Color, light head. Sweet, fruity aroma, lite maltiness. Medium sweetness taste, light bitter. Light cabonation. This was pretty good. Alcohol is somewhat hidden. A sweeter tasting imp pils. DiarmaidBHK (5459) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 31, 2011
A new beer style for me. How can you make a big pale lager that will be of interest and not taste like malt liquor. Beats me! Pours slightly orange with not a lot of aroma. Tastes like a mouthful of alcohol though there is a slight sweetness in the mix. Thinner mouthfeel then I was expecting. Not feeling this one. Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a hazy yellow-golden color with an enormous foamy yellow-white head that lingers forever and left good lacing. The aroma was light pineapple, pear and table sugar. The flavor was tangy and bready with notes of pineapple, pear, pine and plum and a strong presence of table sugar and vodka. The finish was long, fruity, sugary and somewhat boozy. Fairly full bodied. Interesting.
