FROTHINGSLOSH (7697) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 12, 2009
Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a dark brown color with a trace of a tan head. The aroma was light nutty malts, a touch roasty and had a faint fruity hop presence. The flavor was dryish, nutty and malty with a light fruity undertone. There was a light roastiness and no bitterness. The finish was long, nutty and dry. The body was fairly smooth. Draught at Monroeville: Aroma of roasted malts and slight chocolate. Poured deep amber/copper/brown in color with a small, tan head that lasted throughout. Clear. Not sparkling. Good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of chocolate, light roasted malts, and caramel. Medium body. Thin, very slightly chalky texture. Soft to average carbonation. Chocolate, slight roasted malt finish is a tad dry and sticky.
