From BA review on 2-12-12 -
Served in a pint glass
Appearance – A light red and slightly cloudy colored body with a slight off white head. The head fades leaving only but a small trace of lacing
Smell - The aromas as a whole are relatively mild. Citrus hops mixed with a bit of pine. There is a slight rye aroma in there as well.
Taste – Some pine and citrus up front with a bit of breadiness mixed in. A bit of roasted malt flavor come to as the hop flavors dissipate a bit in the middle of the taste. Toward the end there is a slight resurgence of the hop flavor, mainly bitter in nature with an ever so more grassy flavor.
Mouthfeel – A bit thin on the body with a very medium level of carbonation. Noting really to great here.
Overall – It’s an alright IPA, but nothing really special.

Pours out a somewhat clear coppery color with a decent off white head. Aroma is of citrus fruit, and floral hops, light sweet malty notes. Taste drops off a bit, some citrus rinds, light floral notes, sweet grains come through more predominantly than the hops in the taste. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - APR 28, 2014
Can thanks to DrSilverworm. Hazy light gold pour with a small head that fades to a very thin ring. Aroma is pretty malty for an IPA. Caramel and sugar cookies mostly with some citrus and floral hops. Taste is juicy sweet with not much bitterness to balance. Spicy and citrus hops are there to go with the caramel malt. Medium to full body and not much carbonation which hurts it I think. Not really my kinda IPA but certainly not bad. malrubius (2960) - Springfield, Vermont, USA - APR 27, 2014
Can from Heinens. Caramel colored with lasting head and lace. Spicy hop aroma with some pine. Some mild toasty malts and some fruity malts with a lasting bitter rindy hop finish. One of those American/English hybrids. Pretty good. Maybe ciould have been fresher, but I couldn’t see a date code. nuplastikk (6373) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - APR 24, 2014
Filtered orange-tan. Foamy off-white head. Brewhouse aroma, mild orange tones. Pretty boring IPA, 1.5 decades of recipe development huh? The malts are run of the mill, and lack a toasty freshness. The hops are tame and on the lighter side for an IPA in 2014. Not a horrible brew, but pretty insipid, should shy away from glorious descriptions.

Can. Poured a clear golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate citrus and earthy malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met. JaBier (8126) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - APR 14, 2014
Can sample at the Rivertowne tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 4/10/14. Clear amber pour with a thick off-white head. Aroma of malt, pine and spicy hop. Malty flavor up front, giving way to grassy and earthy hops before a bitter, earthy finish. smith4498 (3650) - Winter Springs, Florida, USA - APR 12, 2014
12 oz can from trade with mdg164. Pours hazy copper color with off white head. Aroma of caramel malts, grapefruit, pine and some earthiness. Similar flavor with the malts coming through stronger than the hops. Medium body with average carbonation. Thanks Marc. b3shine (9025) - Indiana, USA - APR 11, 2014
Can to snifter. Looks solid; a transparent orange with thin eggshell lacing. Smells of bitter hops with what appears to be some light oxidization (which doesn’t make much sense coming from a can). Tastes like it smells, but with pale malt in place of the oxidization. Average on the palate; on the thinner side for the style. A forgettable example of the style. 12oz can, shared. Clear amber color. Thin white head. Little, sort of bubbly head, couple bits of lace. I dig the Warhol-style can. Smooth, crisp, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Earthy hop, lightly spicy. Good malt balance to this. Toasty malt, light caramel, lightly spicy malt. Some grapefruit. Light to moderate sweet taste. Moderate to bigger bitter. Bigger malt profile than your typical IPA, but not malty-sweet. It’s seems malty in an intentional way, taste is more bitter forward still. Very unique stuff, I like it quite a bit... A good change of pace from your typical every day dime-a-dozen IPA, this one has some thought and courage behind it, courage to do something different..
