On tap at the Pour House. A very subtle malt aroma to this Irish ale. Dark coppery red clear body with a bit of head to it. Medium-heavy body to this one with quite active carbonation. Starts malty with a bit of biscuit, no diacetyl, which is nice. Finished with a bit of hoppy profile, not harsh, with decent floral hop character. A nice red and not as bitter as others I’ve had recently. FROTHINGSLOSH (8139) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 2, 2007
Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Pub this beer poured a dark red-brown color with a small khaki head. The aroma was sweet and malty, a bit roasty and had undertones of fruity hops. The flavor was dryish and a little bitter though malty and slightly roasty. There was a light fruity hop element. zebracakes (1339) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 25, 2007

Slightly perfumy aroma. Cloudy and darker than the typical pale yellow lager. Has a brownish red hue to it. Barely any head. Expected more bitterness on the taste buds for some reason. Rather mild and enjoyable for a lager lover. Well mannered and friendly. One of the better Irish reds I’ve tasted. Finish is non assuming and pleasant. Easy to like. Barely any carbonation.
