A weak interpretation of one of my loved styles. Aroma was so so. Mostly orange peel and coriander with just a hint of spiciness. Pour was a decent light orange with a 2 finger white head. Taste was sweet and spicy with mostly coriander and orange dominating. Very little carbonation to enhance the flavors. I love a wit to be heavily carbonated with a yeasty aftertaste. This didn’t have that, but was drinkable. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 2, 2007
On tap at the Pour House. Really peppery nose, with coriander, orange peel, peppercorn and other spicy elements. Orange-amber with light haze with thin white lacing head. Medium bodied with medium-light carbonation. Starts rather spicy, with a lot of orange peel and coriander. Pilsner malt, spicy and fruity with orange blossom. Nice sweet character. True to style and nice spicy balance. zebracakes (1339) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 7, 2007
On tap at the Pour House. Hazy pale yellow, white head. Aroma is coriander, citrus, yeasty. Flavor is orange, caraway, coriander, wheat. This is a decent witbier. cheap (5798) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 3, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2008 Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager color and it must be filtered, there is no haze in this one. Froth for a head. Aroma is sour hay and fresh cut sour grass. Delicious taste, absolutely no bitter bite in this brew. Very nice. The taste has some of that sour grass in it too. There is also something familiar and special about the taste yet undefinable. Very nifty beer, I’m impressed with this batch! One of my favorite Rivertowne brews. Finish is pleasant and friendly and it has just the right amount of carbonation for the style.
