FROTHINGSLOSH (7697) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 19, 2011
Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a medium amber color with a large foamy white head that lingered. The aroma was musty, earthy and piney and was mildly bitter. The flavor was somewhat bitter and surprisingly dry with notes of pine, earthy hops, faint fruit and a touch of caramel. The finish was long, dry, earthy and piney. Medium body. Ok. On tap at the Pour House. Herbal funky hop nose. Light spicy character and mild sweet notes. Hazy, almost cloudy medium amber, with thin white lacing head. Medium bodied with high carbonation. Starts with tons of hop and herbal flavor. Very interesting flavor to this one - haven’t had many Sorachi Ace beers yet. Spicy but not harshly bitter. Lactic funky notes, very subtle. Smooth sweet pale malt. Hoppy carbonic finish with light spicy after.
