42 pounds of fresh strawberries were added to this beer to produce a dangerously drinkable, scrumptious, fruity delight! All the strawberry without the jaggers! Formerly Rivertowne Strawberry Patch

gtmw09....pours a semi-transparent orange brown with an off-white head... lots of strawberry in the nose, pretty sweet overall....just like the description says..strawberries upfront and finishes off on a cake note. they nailed the concept but it does get old after awhile.

Strawberry beers are all the same to me. This was different. Why? Because it tasted like butterscotch. I liked it.

Draught sample as Strawberry Short Cake-less at the Pour House. Sweet, sweet strawberry cereal aroma. Cloudy pale golden with not head. Medium carbonation in a medium watery body. All I can taste is an overload of sweet, syrupy strawberry cereal.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a hazy golden amber color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma was strong sweet Frankenberry. The flavor was sweet and tangy strawberry and cream. The mouthfeel was full, creamy and smooth. Nice.

opaque light orange, fine white head, streaks of drippy lace, sweet strawberry aroma, lots of sweet strawberry flavor, a hint of bitterness keeps the sweetness from being over the top,

Draft sample at the brewpub. Hazy, golden color. Prevelant strawberry nose, with a bit of malt and bread. Very nice strawberry start with a crisp, hop finish, but not too hopy. I’m not a huge fruit beer fan, but this is pretty decent.

Wow, nice fruity strawberry aroma. Smells really aromatic like stawberry Nestle Quick. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager color, no hint of the strawberries in the color. I do beleive it has a slight haze to it. First taste is interesting and attractive. But as with most fruit beers, the taste becomes tiring and imitation during the session. If I didn’t see they added real fruit in the description, I would think it was flavored with syrup. After a while, it seems this beer begins to have the impression of flavored children’s medicine. Strawberry is overwelming the rest of the sensation. Barely carbonated. More sweet than most fruit beers I’ve tasted. Lancaster’s Strawberry is much more enjoyable than this and has more tingly carbonation, something this brew is lacking. However, I was very pleased to have had the chance to taste this rare beer.
