Pretty nice porter with an awesome chocolatey aroma and an awesome chocolatey, malty flavor. This brewpub really knows how to use specialty malts in their brews. Definately worth a try if you stop in. FROTHINGSLOSH (8150) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 3, 2009
Sampled on draft this beer poured a very dark brown color with a khaki head. The aroma was light roasty malts. The flavor was dry, roasty and bitter with a light smoky undertone and a long dry finish. Ok. Naka (719) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 28, 2008
Sampled at the Pour House. A very dark brown color with a thick beige head. The aroma is chocolate, vanilla, butterscotch. Very roasty. The flavor is pretty sweet. A little bit of roasted bitterness. Coffee, a touch of cinnamon, and bitter burnt caramel. Decent body, but could use a little bit more carbonation. Nate (4296) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 2, 2007
On tap at the Pour House as Vanilla Bean Porter. Great chocolate and coffee malty aroma, smooth and roasted with some smoky bitterness and a hint of sweetness. Dark brown-black clear with light tan head. Medium-heavy body with medium carbonation. Starts with roasted grain and good amounts of chocolate and coffee, Tootsie Roll, vanilla, caramel, and a bit of smoke. Light dry bitter finish with chocolatey sweetness. Light chalky coffee-vanilla after. Good flavors going on here. zebracakes (1339) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 3, 2007

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2007 Nice black brown pour. Has a chocolate mousse head. Roasty aroma that is very attractive. A taste like somebody filtered this beer thru the old coal of a wood campfire. The taste and flavors are well controlled and enjoyable. Barely any carbonation.
