Draught at the brewpub. Die Kellnerin called it Kupfer. Slightly hazy amber coloured. Quite fruity aroma and flavour with malt underneath. Lightly bitter finish.
Brown/reddish body with a tall, thick beige head. Aroma is cherries, some caramel. Taste is smooth, caramel, a bit milk. Sweet finish. Medium body, soft carbonation sic1314 (4773) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - SEP 25, 2012
On tap in the brewpub, dark ruby colour with a thick, white head. Aroma of caramel and malt, almost like a Scottish 80/-. Flavour of smooth chocolate malt and dark fruits (raisin). Not bad, but not worth a long trek to try it. ganache (6089) - New Jersey, USA - APR 20, 2012
Tap at the pub, a pretty, dark brown with ruby highlights and a creamy, rocky tan head that strongly resembles that of a root beer float. Sweet roasty nose, taste reveals minimal fruit and a wave of smooth chocolate. Smooth light body comes off as being too thin, but the ambiance is good. ogivlado (8316) - Zagreb, CROATIA - OCT 13, 2011
Beer No. 67 on my tour through Austria, Germany and Denmark.

Draught at the brewpub. Dark amber coloured, small off-white head, light caramel nose. Vinous malty, caramel and light nutty with mild hops presence in the finish. Better than Hell but not much.

Draught at the brewpub. Color brown/red with medium head. Aroma roasted, caramel. Taste caramel, bread, sweet. Svesse (8962) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - AUG 18, 2010
(Draught at the brewpub, Berlin, 22 July 2010) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with notes of caramel and bread. Malty, toasty taste with caramel, bread, cola and a moderate bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with some sweetness. Decent but slightly boring. heavy (2911) - Split, CROATIA - MAR 28, 2010
08/03 Draught at the brewpub. It poured clear reddish body with small head. Caramel malt aroma. Flavor is sweetish caramel as well, also little bit bitter herbal hoppy, but very watery and quite mainstream. Thin body with short anbd boring bitterish finish. One of those "Dunkelpils", this being not so nice and definitely too industrial for a good brewpub beer. Don’t think its a bad batch, maybe someone started to brew it for them under different recipe. Draught at the brewpub. Poured a coppery body with a slightly off white head. Buttery, slightly caramelly nose. Empty, slightly caramelly taste, sweet and dry. As with the Dunkel, not impressed, and I’m guessing a bad batch again. Ah, well.
